Nothing too impressive that I see. Just a bunch of Indie games I already own or don't want. Again.

Maybe I'll break down and buy Fallout 3 this time around, if it goes low enough.

There's a very good reason why I'm refusing to buy Skyrim or any Bethesda game for that matter.

"Stupid truth, always resisting simplicity." They did manage to conquer Russia, though, which is pretty darn impressive, considering Russia's track record.

Mongols: "We're the exception!"

You can build floors and cielings. Wolfy's also reworked the way construction of them works so they only require two orthagonally adjacent support tiles instead of a flood fill to walls.

Does building a ceiling create a floor? If so, I'm moving to the nearest cave pronto. If not, I don't see any options for building floors.

And Wolfy's new mod doesn't come precompiled yet, and I don't want to fiddle with that.

I enjoyed the first one very much, and played it endlessly as a kid. I remember settling several new villages in Creature Isle because that place was so dang huge. Good times.

I wasn't as impressed with the second one - The creature was what made the first game so awesome, but it lost some of its importance after that. Building towns was fun and I enjoyed it enough to play through the whole thing, but overall the AI, combat, and creature management left much to be desired compared to the first one. I never got Battle of the Gods, though. I heard that solved a lot of those problems.

I forgot to mention that I did do matrilineal marriages (Except the HRE), but they flew off to the other folks' place anyways. I had to invite them back.

In other news, I joined France in a Holy War I had no interest in participating in, but the pope gave me 200 Gold despite the fact I haven't even sent any levies to the area.

Hrm.

My ruler had a preposterous number of girls, so I started strategically marrying them off to nearby heirs because it sounded like a good idea at the time. I've invited them all back to my court, so now I have the heirs to the Kingdom of Scotland, Kingdom of France, and the HRE all sitting in my court, waiting for me to exploit them somehow.

The question is, how will I do this, or is it even possible to take advantage of my situation? I'd like the Kingdom of Scotland especially, since France and the HRE may be too large for me to take over all at once.

Heck, building floors would be a step up.

If I knew how to program, I'd totally mod in floors, light bulbs, radios, televisions, and working generators for electricity. Imagine what you could do with a boring old cave!

Haven't had time to play this for a while. I've been reading the Bartimaeus Trilogy lately, though, and I can't help but think an overhaul mod based on it would be awesome. The amount of subterfuge in those books plus the whole magical vs. non-magical side of things would make for awesome mechanics. Probably not doable, but awesome if they were.

Life Advice / Re: Some help identifying headaches
« on: July 02, 2012, 10:56:25 pm »
Lack of water is the main reason I used to get headaches. After starting to drink at least a liter of the stuff a day, my headaches started going away. Beyond that, you can try meditation, as that's be pretty effective for headaches, too. Caffeine is nice for a quick fix, but it can also dehydrate you quicker, since stuff is being passed faster through your system. This can be fixed by simply drinking more water.

Holy cow, Tribes: Ascend is a load of fun.

Apparently, my falling out with the ex turned out okay. We took the munchkin to the airshow and fair today. Everything was peaceful.

I'm glad to hear that. People problems are the worst problems.
