I broke down and bought it.  I've been tickled by it, so far.  Still not sure if I like it or not.

Life's hard, but I've come to the conclusion that we're never faced with anything we can't handle - It's not easy, but there's nothing to say that it isn't possible.  Even if you can't do anything about the storms flying around you, you can learn and grow from it.  Don't let the crap weigh you down, and don't think on it too much.  A lot of artists, authors, and famous folk had some hard teenage years, and things turned out pretty nice for them.

I highly recommend spending time with your mom, as you'll find a lot of comfort in comforting someone else.  If she's not around much, you might spend some time in a public library - Lots of people to meet, and lots of books to read.  Sitting around doing nothing isn't going to get you anywhere, so find an outlet.  I don't have anything against pessimism, but sometimes you have to force yourself to be optimistic, even when it's not realistic.  You generally get what you expect.

Worse comes to worse, you'll become famous later on and have a pretty cool biography to sell.

Retirement is usually optional in the military, unless you're forced to do it due to some health condition.  I can't remember how many years you have to be in the military to be able to retire - If I remember right, it's somewhere around 25 years of active service.  The American military is generally something you get out of as quickly as possible.

Good point - My grandpa retired from the Air Force, joined Boeing and retired from them, too, so he's got two retirement plans supporting him right now.  It took a while, but he hasn't had to consider getting a job since.

The only sound that really bugs me is that annoying "cricket" ring tone that adults supposedly can't hear (I'm an adult, and I can hear it).  I hate it with a burning passion.

What gets me really on edge isn't a sound, it's having Popsicle sticks or those paper lollipop sticks in my mouth.  Even thinking about it makes me shiver.

I don't know about a full physical - The doctor would probably overcharge and just give you the same basic advice.  "Eat right, exercise."  It's when those things fail you should consider throwing in the ante for the doctor, because he'd have to actually look into the problem.  A vast majority of the time basic life style changes will solve the problem.

Even if that's the way you've always eaten, you should consider throwing some variety in your diet, especially some fruits and vegetables (I recommend frozen stuff, since it's easy to heat up and tastier than canned junk).  Even if you've always eaten that way, your body isn't getting any younger and has a harder time rebuilding itself with things you could get away with when you were younger.  This is true even if you're relatively young.  Throw some whole grains in there if you're feeling particularly experimental.  You could be suffering from a minor vitamin deficiency, but I wouldn't recommend pills unless you literally don't have vitamins available in your diet.

Ramen and cereals potentially contain a lot of preservatives, which wouldn't help either.

Alas, if we could stay young forever...

The problem is that the Game Devs don't have control over distribution, that's totally the realm of the publisher, whose main goal is to get money.  Game companies that actually own their own publishing outlet are pretty rare - I can only think of two off the top of my head.  So, if a regular developer was caught meddling in the distribution business when they already have a publisher there could be serious financial repercussions.

I'd recommend heading off to a college to do ROTC and become an officer.  I'm pretty sure the military has psychologists to take care of their less-than-sane population, so that may be a good thing to hop into if you want to make a difference.  If not, recruiting might be fun.  Judging from your language, you won't be torn to shreds like a sissy boy like me would, so there's one thing going for you.  The military has a basic requirement for a hard will, and if you don't have it, they'll drill it into you.

I'm just tired of dealing with lying pieces of tax-evading dirtbags who think I'm fucking stupid and don't know they're a bunch of thieves.

Wait, and you want to join the military?  ???

I'm currently rereading The Wheel of Time series, and I have to second that opinion.  Robert Jordan is was an amazing author*, definitely one of the best.  Fantasy at its best, and you'll probably be able to find it at a public library.  In fact, if you're really bored, try reading the entire thing wall to wall.  That's something I've always wanted to do.

*Sad day! I didn't know he'd died.

I'm also a big fan of exercise, too, so I'll recommend that for your list.  A little testosterone never hurt anybody.

I kind of get the same thing, just with more depression.  Regular exercise usually helps me (Running, lifting weights), but it's easy to fall out of it; it takes willpower to keep going on the hard days.  I picked up a simple way of meditating that seems to help, too, so you could look into that (Or I could explain it, either way).  The worst it could be is that you just don't have enough mental stimulation - If you're not already in school, you might think about picking up a class or two, even if you've already graduated from college.  Studying keeps the brain younger.

This is mostly from self-observation, so you may have to find your own jive.

Also, check your diet.  You'd be surprised how much your brain is affected by what you eat.

I played it a while back and stopped because reactionary combat was screwy.  I don't know if they've fixed it, but it's still a fun game if you liked X-Com.

The lack of bird puns is rather larking, but I guess if we kept at it, it'd make us a little jayded.

The lack of non-sexual humor in the world is a funny thing.

I've bought a game every day since this sale came out.  I feel like a bibliophile locked in the Library of Congress.  A very guilty, compulsive bibliophile.

A week?  What kind of cake do you have, ice-cream cake?  Most box-made cakes can last up to a month outside of the fridge.  Inside the fridge they might get soggy.  Just cover the cake up, it'll be fine.

As for ice-cream cakes, they need to be eaten.  Immediately.  Not because they melt, but because they're so delicious!
