I feel your plesioth haaaaate. He is, and will always be, my wall. And this is monster hunter freedom unite, where you can't get in the water to get him. I forget how many times I just kept waiting for him to surface because I ran out of sonic bombs and frogs. I eventually loaded up on lightning rods and shock traps and just blasted him over and over.
Indeed. Just finished the rest of the weapons yesterday (did GS and SNS on Friday, still had lance, bow, and hammer to go). Funnily enough, I was able to get better times on bows and hammers, the two weapons I have basically no experience with. And I didn't faint using a hammer!
(ignore the fact that the bow loadout also gives you bombs of all kinds for underwater fun)
Best of luck with Kushala, by the way. I hear it's supposed to be easy, but that's probably from the same kind of people who say things like Lucent Nargacuga are easy (it's not). Unfortunately, I haven't played any other MHs besides 3U so I don't have experience against the more classic monsters like Akantor, Tigrex, and Kut-ku.

Back to topic, today I moved onto the Rathalos arena battle. Scraped by with GS (Punish Draw and Stamina Thief? Really?) and GL (actually good skills, Guard +1 and Artillery King helped) with 2 carts each, then went on to hammers.

I still suck with hammers, despite my show of "mad" skills yesterday. It was all bad, and I ended up triple-carting thanks to lack of aiming skills with the level 1 and 2 charges. Man, the day I get those earrings is the first day I'll never touch the arena clerk ever again.

Did some event runs with a full party. It was good fun. Nothing else much happened besides adventurer seals are awesome.

Also, mind keeping an eye out for page 10 of Fireball for me? It's the last thing between me and being an elemental master. 8)

Congratulations! IIRC it's a lot easier to maintain your RA status than it is to earn it at first, but it requires doing an SM daily or something like that.

Trying to do all the arena quests. Starting off with the solo-only ones. I decide to take the quest to kill everybody's favorite, Plesioth.
He boxes me into a corner underwater and just spins like a jerk. I think I've figured his game out though: you can't fight him on the same level. Either drop down from above or come up from below and you should be able to dodge most of the attacks.

...not that anybody cares because nobody has this game

e: Plesioth isn't like you and me. Plesioth has no code to live by.

Sadly, I don't think training seals can be used on r1 skills. But they'll be a huge help getting there.

I forgot to mention that earlier, but this update also added a new daily quest system (mostly gathering quests) and 2 new seals merchant. Now every daily quest (including SM and saga EP) gives 1 adventurer seal. These seals can be traded for various items.

Some people showed up yesterday and saw what these merchants were offering, but apparently they sell different things every day of the week. Wednesday they were selling weapons, Thursday they are selling ES and Enchant Expiration Removal Scroll (yes, it does exactly what you think it does!). I can't wait to see what else they are offering.
These seal merchants are officially the best. The BEST. They offer...
Mondays: life skill materials (leather worries are somewhat alleviated)
Tuesdays: exploration exp items (give a ton of exp, 450k on the cheapest, but also cost a lot of seals)
Fridays: marionettes/associated items/potions (not really as important but cool because it offers another way of getting those minis besides gachas)
Saturdays: armor/clothes on Saturdays (looks like fashion items, could change from the current doctor/nurse stuff, as well as "Royal Knight" stuff which IIRC has better stats than normal heavy armor and also looks okay IMO here have some people talking about it)
...and most importantly of all...
Sundays: Skill Training Seals (come in 5% and 15% varieties, for 25/70 each). This could be just what we need to get ourselves a little boost in our life skills, combined with Monday's mats. And by little, I mean "get past rE enchant/other stuff".

e: Next we should look into seeing which dailies give out these wondrous seals.

Nope! Now all the machine bosses can spawn randomly every night to help players "progress", like how the Eye of Cthulhu sometimes spawns when you've reached a certain power level.

Ah yes, I remember last year I was going to join but suddenly video games wrested my attention away. The year before that I made some terrible thing, but actually succeeded.

Sadly, don't think I'll join this year because I'm busy-busy but PTW anyway.

To turn in guild points and donate gold if they're already in, as I assumed he was (and just remembered he wasn't)? Plus, just saying "go to Cobh and look for our name" is easier than explaining the location of the button on the friendslist. Though both are pretty easy, we've traditionally done the first.

The best way to get to the guild stone is to walk due east from Dunbarton. Actually, that's the only way since Port Cobh doesn't have a moongate and you probably don't want to be taking the ships from Belvast/Iria.

It will work, and you won't notice anything except for "empty" music discs (all the ones higher than 39 are from Elona+). Basically, you'll be missing a lot of music exclusive to Elona+, but since you said so, no big deal. If you had midi support, you could just paste the lines after "mcIntro" in the original musiclist.txt and put it in the MP3 pack's musiclist.txt, and that would make the game play the original game midis in areas that they're supposed to, and play the MP3s in North Tyris. Of course, some songs are reused in South Tyris, so some areas will suddenly have MP3s but that's not really a problem.

This is why I think we should try to compile some new music to make our own MP3 pack for Elona+.

So like an element system? It makes sense, seeing as the hell stuff is all fiery, jungle stuff is all grassy, there's clearly ice stuff, dungeon stuff looks pretty watery, etc. .
But it'd be somewhat unbalanced if just thrown in with the stuff as it is.

My temple was bugged and didn't have an altar, so I spawned one in and just slapped it down on my regular boss arena (a 100 block line of brick floating in the air wow). Didn't have any problems there, other than Golem landing on me which did more damage than the rest of the attacks.

Also I got a bunch of the new dungeon magic and they are so awesome... except for the fact that i have multiples of them and not, say, rocket launchers or black belts.

Okay, time for my nightly attempt.
Less than 5 minutes in, I get hit at half health by the thunder slam. Which I have -10 resistance to. Which instantly kills me.

Out of curiosity, what kind is it? It might also be a gacha, since those can have the best crafting grade and could have been thrown ouut because it wasn't the item somebody wanted.
