That may be intentional, as some alloys on vanilla DF don't have an ore option (rose gold, black bronze, bismuth bronze, and sterling silver, among others).

Off-topic: Why does everybody use female characters? From female characters in MMORPGs and plain ol' offline RPGs, to dorf requests in succession forts and adventurers.

I have heard that the new overseer, some Vonderslild or other, caused a magma accident in the forge area while expanding it. His plan is to pump up the magma to the surface, just like in a few old stories I have heard. Because no fort is ever complete without a magma pump. Let it be done!

It could use a snappier name, though.
