Well someone can correct me if these are wrong but here goes:

AMBUSHPREDATOR -> Like giant cave spiders.
BENIGN -> Determines whether creature can show up on "tame" maps (includes elephants), which will generally avoid dwarves, although they may chase and/or attack them if they get too close).
BUILDINGDESTROYER ->Allows a creature to destroy furniture and buildings. (Giant Cave Spiders have this at 1, but most other creatures have it at 2. The difference between these values is unknown.) So 2 for destroy stuff, 1 is unknown at the moment.
CURIOUSBEAST -> I think this makes them steal items/ changes behavior, the wiki says you can add an _ITEM or _GUZZLER for items and alcohol.
NEUTRAL/EVIL/GOOD -> Only affects maps if I recall correctly, all animals attack if provoked EVIL can let goblins use them in sieges.
LARGE_ROAMING/LARGE_PREDATOR -> Predators attack without provocation roaming don't.
MEANDERER -> Means when moving they meander, instead of going straight, will not go straight to fortress.
PATTERNFLIER -> I'm not completely sure but it seems to be on all the flying animal men, might effect there behavior/ make them seem more intelligent, this is the only thing I'm not sure on.

Just walk one tile on the world map it cures all wounds (apart from lopped offs) and other status effects (e.g. hunger, thirst). Also in this version, there is no way to get more water once you use the water in your water skin but that will be in later.

I have a little experience in modding, and if I where you I would set the frequency to 200+ that way you should sea a lot of them. and also do you really want a rabbit to do 6 gore damage on every attack it just seams a bit much for a rabbit you could change it to >3 if you want. You could make [CHILD] to 0.3 (I have done this in my game with one of my creatures and it works fine).Like Metalax said you should remove [BUTCHERABLE_NONSTANDARD], and with a speed of 200, you’re never going to catch one  :D. You could also change max age to [5:6] to make it more realistic. Anyway and remember to generate a new world and start in a temperate forest or you will not see any. Ok I think that’s all, hope this works and I wish you luck with your modding career.

You could also build many catapults and set them to fire at will at a wall. I know this waste the stone but at least you can train a siege operator while you’re at it. Although this will only clear the most resent stone, (I think) but it would work in the long run. You could also try to shot wild animals and butcher them.

Wow thats really wierd...

There's nothing about it on the wiki as far as I can see, so what happens when they get obsessed, and did you see anything strange before you got the -3 error?

I also have not heard of it. Can you post the relevent bit of the game log so we can see what it said, a screen shot would do though. (Game log is in your DF folder.)

Edit: Sorry to be a pain but the feet and other custom body parts do not appear on its wounds list at all. Is there any way to make them appear.

I tried what you said and it flashes after I only replace the body. Do you think this is due to the fact it doesn’t have any limbs. I left out limbs in the first place because I felt the platypus didn’t really have limbs as such. Do you know how I could solve this problem apart from by adding limbs as a last resort?

It keeps on suffocating/flashing with red wounds even though it has nothing missing as far as I can see. Please can someone with experience in these matters give me a pointer with what is wrong?
