Life Advice / Re: Struggling with Gender Identity???

We should be trying to help DigitalDemon, not debating.
TBH everything everyone wanted to say has already been said.

I and Orange advise caution and making sure that's exactly what DD wants because once you operate there's no going back while people who transitioned or are transitioning shared their own experiences.

The only heated debate was whether TG is a mental ailment or not but even those in who say yes harbor no ill will towards DigitalDemon.
For all i care mental issues are far more common than people would like to believe and no one wants to be associated with one no matter how harmless it might be.
Anyway for all i care that discussion has ended. People believe what they want and probably didn't change their opinions.
I'm just sorry mine likely pissed people off.

Ok, then make it so when you swap to the second weapon you lose all flight controls. Solo Liberator pilots do it all the time.
Then the ESF would have to be a 2 seater with the second person manning the forward firing secondary weapon not really fun unless the secondaries get a largish arc of fire.
Also if the ESF fell like a brick every time a player switched to A2A missiles it probably wouldn't be even possible to get a lock (and maintaining it because the missiles are basically laser guided).

To be frank all ESF secondaries are borderline useless anyway outside of maybe the antiground rocket pods.

And i thought i had it bad... i honestly have no clue how to help here aside of maybe suggesting grabbing a Win7 disc and getting a working OS installed.
Maybe asking microsoft support will help?

Hey. What if ESFs only had one weapon slot, like every other vehicle in the game...

Welp, looks like I'm not bothering to spend certs on my Mosquito ever again.
I would say, just to ferry yourself to fights, simply get the afterburner upgrades (and maybe speed airframe) but I think they made those default now.
To be frank Tanks get 2 weapons and so do Sunderers. Only you have to change seats to get ot the second weapon.

Oh geez, this thread has gotten into a pretty big debate about "What is Gender Identity/Transgenderism?".

I really don't know anything about the answer to that, because I don't know if there is some certain things that can be applied, cause everyone's situations different. I know basically nothing though, so yeah. Don't take my word for it.

Keep your cool and head down. People are triggered by TG talk in general and people with strong opinions on the topic like helmacon and Orange Wizard are common.

No people, please educate yourselves.

Read and understand this:

It's literally already in the thread. Transgendered individuals actualy have a brain structure closer to that of the gender they identify with.

Some researchers tend to ask "How do we prove this?" instead of "What conclusions we can draw from the test?" that often leads to wrong conclusions.
Furthermore research that aims to disprove something already well established will often just not get any funding. And even if they pull through on a shoestring budget they won't get much exposure because people won't take their results seriously anyway.
The Ozone hole research that ended up being a false positive because no one dared challenge the apocalyptic rhetoric until it suddenly was proven that the hole is not only growing and shrinking seasonally but also getting smaller each year.
And then things went strangely silent.

tl;dr
Don't blindly believe everything modern science says and take everything with a grain of salt.
And remember that not that long ago lobotomy was considered a legit cure for many psychological ailments... see where that bandwagon ended up?

TBH it might count as a mental illness if you think about it.
There are people out there who literally blind themselves because they think they should be born blind for example or crazies that think they should be born as cats or dogs (basically severe cases of furry) and act accordingly.
So then you get downright tragic cases like those.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3356084/I-ve-gone-child-Husband-father-seven-52-leaves-wife-kids-live-transgender-SIX-YEAR-OLD-girl-named-Stefonknee.html
(I still think this one is an april fools)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3419631/Woman-says-s-CAT-trapped-human-body.html

Being transgender could be a tame variation of those cases where the body does not quite align with what your mind wants to perceive as "you".
So the crazies in those articles and transgender people at large suffer from the same type of "crazy" but have directed their "crazy" in ways we don't find acceptable despite those being roughly similar desires (body not aligning with what our mind wants).

Well i was reading the comments on that reddit post.

Quote
The chance of winning a 1vs4 or 1vs5 with those involved is 0% no matter how good you are

I can't win 1 vs 5. it's the tomcats fault and not me getting into a fight with 5 aircraft equipped for killing aircraft instead of rawkit pods for molesting ground fights.

Quote
I figured making them dodge-able is not reliable, so I really think you should either make them only lock into big aircraft or drop the lock mechanic altogether (besides, imagine how awesome a wireguided Tomcat would be).

I can imagine they would be so awesome that no one would ever use them.

A for the hammer... so basically any nosegun that's not a boring bullet sprayer is not halal as well?
Who would have thought!

414
Ahaha.
Tomcats now need 5 missiles to kill... so what's the TTK now? Probably over 30 seconds by now.
Meanwhile someone in the comments wants every ESF to have built in flares.
Just amazing...

Well at least you don't have to keep your crosshair on the enemy ESF after actually firing the missile.

Read some more.
Nosegun buffs across the board.
The Tomcats might actually be worth a damn against fleeing ESFs and do some actual damage against liberators and gals.

It's not THAT bad.
Still 5 missiles to kill a ESF... damn i hope that at least the lockon range is good.

...sky knights?
Kinda late but...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
tl;dr
Sky Knights are scumbags.
Screw aircraft.
Get a skyguard and learn to lead.
Or even better, get a skyguard and cert in racer and stealth so you can park somewhere in enemy territory and take down damaged ESFs that hang back waiting for autorepair.

Well i don't have any xinput pads (yet) co i couldn't test a xinput pad on x360ce.
All i know is that they suggest against trying to use xinput pads with x360ce.

Well i went ahead and bought a 360 pad. I hate the design of that brick but... oh well.
Also funny enough x360ce detects it's analog triggers without issue...
Altho i assume it just detects the pad as X360 and forgoes the translation bit.

Basically it's only there so i can use D-input pads alongside it in split screen games.

Mario despite almost literally never changing is at least in better shape than Sonic that changes all the time... and sonic is a walking contradiction that should be dead long ago but somehow shambles on like a zombie too stupid to realize it's already dead.

CoD is closer to Sonic than Mario imho.

It comes out regularly.
Everyone bashes it.
And yet... it earns enough money to warrant another sequel.
And just like Sonic it does not settle for one gameplay style... except unlike sonic games the changes happen every 15 minutes rather than every game.

Tried it with Renegade OPS.
I removed x360ce and verified the game cache (just in case) but the game completely failed to detect it at all.
Also considering that it actually works with x360ce instead of showing off a load of errors i'm inclined to believe that its indeed dinput...
So i guess it only supports analog triggers when plugged to a PS3 because i don't see any obvious way to make it work otherwise.

I might be able to return it and get a P65... that model actually supports xinput.
http://genesis-zone.com/en/product/p65-gamepad-2/

Kinda weird how they flaunted analog triggers on a pad that can't use them tho...

I installed the drivers before even messing with x360ce.

I obviously knew the pad won't use ximput and didn't care because i'm used to using x360ce.
I kinda hoped that the triggers would work dinput or not considering it was one of the selling points.
So far however i can't set the triggers to anything but digital.
Otherwise they just straight up fail to detect any button press.
