Well, it was a good run while it lasted. We saved the world twice (three if you think we were the Good Guys in the Cold War), we invented the TV, the smartphone, we sent a man to the moon, we invented rock-and-roll, we figured out a way to cram more cheese inside a pizza.
All good things come to an end.

I thought we invented the TV, but I'll give you the rest. I think we need to accept and try to understand that people voting for Trump en masse because they feel uncomfortable with immigrants is as much the "Real America" as the one of Rosa Parks, Neil Armstrong and Elvis Presley. The more we keep trying to say "Brexit isn't the real Britain I know" and stuff like that and thereby avoiding the uncomfortable truths about the West's popular rightward shift and unrest, the less likely we are to finding any ways of reversing it.
In 2014 I had to get over myself and accept my country is conservative and did not match up with my understanding of what it meant to be Scottish - there is a lot to be done and a lot of minds to be changed yet until people of my politics can bring about the kind of country we want to see, maybe you guys should consider looking at the states in the same way. Either that or move to Canada.

2. Your studies are more important than whatever lack you see in the current elected president.
3. You will live through this, and what you'll be gaining through this timeline is what matters--because this is what you'll be carrying after this presidential term, and whatever worries are external to you.
While the worries around you may be great and many, that doesn't mean you have to deny yourself access to what can help you, because those worries do not define you. They can influence emotion and other important matters, but not define them.
And do not let that alone continue into a mental mindset because it will affect any future and current thinking.
What you will learn will stay with you; what the president is now is temporary. How will you face this if not with learning and understanding? Keep moving forward.
