The weird thing is, if you replace Pepe the Frog with pretty much anything else in the images, those images are still offensive so... I'm kinda finding it difficult to accept that somehow this is now a hate symbol in and of itself.

Well your avatar is a "remembrance" for a person who recently got banned for using said word and another player who had a similar av got warned for using the same word after changing their av back... I'm not sure you really have any case for an "I didn't know!" defense.

I feel like people who are totally blown away that a child could get away from an adult in a busy area like a zoo have never interacted with a child in zoo... Or anywhere.

It was probably negligent on the parents part.
It was probably negligent on the zoos part.

Sometimes smugly blaming people for things that happen and implying you think a child deserved to die because of it's own actions or the actions of others isn't actually that helpful or clever.

A child fell into a wild animal's enclosure in a zoo. I think it goes without saying that someone fucked up. A mix of the zoo and the parent, as you say. However, as all the other adults that were responsible for a child managed to avoid having them fall into said enclosure, one might suggest this particular adult was particularly foolish.

Did the animal deserve to be killed because it had the potential to kill the child? Probably not. The first thing the zoo did was to kill the animal, though. A bit unfair that someone else's fuck up results in that.

Well I dunno... It is written right in here that the Military is allowed to suppress any and all information it doesn't want the public to know for reasons that it doesn't want them to know (I originally thought it only could on grounds that the information would compromise current operations) and "It would end the war" is a pretty good excuse. With the oversight committee being the military itself.
-This has to be the only government agency where it is 100% expected to police itself! except for... the other ones...

And all they have to do to justify the bombing run is say that the target was more important. That is typically what they do... "Yes he was in a house full of people... But we killed 11 people to save hundreds of lives and we don't know if we could have got him after" done! but I certainly wouldn't want to be the one to pull the trigger (and would probably be court martialed for those reasons... In a secret trial...)
