On the face of it, the letter "s" is the difference, while a deeper examination will determine that inane is a synonym for "stupid" and insane "mad".

Depending on how you view madness and stupidity, they are one and the same, though that would require a discussion of semantics. I don't think you meant that, though.

'cause right now it looks like you're the one that's twisting my words, making assumptions about what I said, and misinterpreting what I said about people disagreeing with you - though that is partly my fault for not saying "... perhaps you should reflect on this, as you may be the one in error." - which does rather make you a hypocrite.

I don't rightly care if you disagree with me. I do care when you boil a complex topic down to something very simple, and then tell people that disagree with you they're wrong about the topic for not agreeing with your simplification.
