Other Games / Re: How did you last *own*?

Won a round (and inevitably a match) of Arsenal in Goldeneye Source 5.0

Basically you start off with a really good weapon (mostly a gold or silver PP7, but sometimes a Golden Gun) and you have to kill other folk with it. Once you kill two, you go up a level, and get a new, inferior weapon to kill two people with, and so on 'til you get the last weapon after 9 kills, the hunting knife.

I was quite lucky that the person I found first when I got the knife had a magnum, a weapon that does a lot of damage but takes ages to use because of the recoil between shots. I got a slash in while they got a shot in, and there was a second or so I thought I'd lost it as we were both moving in the same direction at the same speed at the same time... 'til they backed into a wall and I slashed 'em for the kill.

This game is awesome and is absolutely free!

OW was still a cool dude, though.  People liked him.  So yes, they're bloody well allowed to be sad that somebody they liked got kicked.

@iinl:I keep wanting to start a Bay12 Forums Emergency Fund...This is exactly why.  :v
aw shit, OW is kill? OW was pretty chill and contribooter, RIPIP
What happened to get OW b&, cos I wouldn't expect OW of all people to get ban, seemed legit nice
There was apparently racist jokes being kicked about, and he made a bad one. I didn't see it, but Toady popped up to say that the n-word and the f-word re:gay dudes were not cool words.

Came to the realisation last night during an over-tired minor bout of insomnia that my dad, many many years ago, tried to manipulate his children into encouraging their mother to buy house, and essentially trap her in a relationship with him, amongst other self-centered manipulative bastard type things.

What a dick.

I thought a q in pinyin was pronounced "ch". Ah well.

I'd prefer a more active IC tbh. The last BM was kinda hampered by it (and general inactivity) so I'd probably rather not.

Anyhow, with my own experiences with massive stressors in existence right now, I'd rather not burden you with something like this while you're trying to figure out college right now. I'll wait for someone else, sorry kilakan.

And how does one truly begin to understand introspectively that they're incapable of a stable, nurturing relationship?
Aftermath is how.

The most obvious answer is not necessarily the only answer.

You bring up introspection; is it not possible for either party to consider the relationship for a moment and realize that it's unfulfilling for both parties, and share that revelation with the other?

I'm not sure tearing someone's ear off is going to teach him anything other than that partner is a mad bastard.

I don't particularly think that a violent response is also going to help any reconciliation process.l, at least re: the example you used.

All relationships are based on trust; if one partner can't trust the other to remain faithful (if it's expected) while the other can't do anything wrong without the potential for violent reprisals, then neither person is capable of being in a stable, nurturing relationship with the other person.

Uograde the Fhortan from an Elite race to an Epic race. (~40E?)

Examine Fhortan society. Do they need anything? Generally equal society? Tech Level? Other races find it easy to assimilate if they decide to live/work with them?

((I also still think you forgot to deduct the Essence I spent during Tick 26))

Proce check on various rare plants that grant the finder some degree of Luck that get correlatingly harder to find the more divine help that a being receives - including racial characteristics for that kind of thing.

It's difficult to accept your preference when you were engaging other gods and their creations, and then throwing your toys out the pram once they responded.

There's no Council this time 'round so there's much less in the way of godly politics. I've only interacted with other gods three times this time round, one of which was roundly ignored, another of which I more or less ignored, and the final one of which I invested all of 3E to get my point across.

It seems like you have to go out of your way to get other folk to interact with you - at least directly anyway - in this version, which isn't altogether a bad thing.

I mean I'm just now beginning to consider ways that I can expand on my goal as Fortuna. 27 Ticks in!

But that was mostly dos to my own laziness and lack of creativity in how to deal with Luck, compounded by significant distractions in my own existence.
