Er... all of Europe was obviously a fantastic shiny, crime-free utopia before all the filthy brown people came? Come on man...
Nice strawman fam
looks just as good as your's, brah.

Import jihadis, get jihad

Stopping the entry of and removing immigrant criminals removes immigrant crime, sadly you can't deport criminal yuropoors (well, unless you're a non-EU Yuropean). Even so, imagine a world where yuropoors didn't desire so much enrichening, I'm sure they would find another way to destroy their own civilizations, they have a talent for that

so is yuropoors fault. just replace yuropoors with jihadis; no more people to jihad against. or jihad is now exported back where it came from. problem solve.

So, please tell me, Oh, LW, what immigration policies would have prevented the Nice attack? Sure, refusing to take in refugees would have prevented people like that group arrested in Germany a couple months ago from getting in. But how would that have stopped the Nice attack? What does refugees have to do with this one?
Step 1: Go back in time
Step 2: Don't support multiculturalism

Alternatively if you still want enrichment, go back in time and deport foreigners who commit crimes, that way he would've been deported when he first started assaulting people. Or when he got arrested for robbery, or domestic violence, or threats e.t.c.

P.s. Lmao you couldn't even deport all Muslims even if you wanted, no take backsies
Also clarify your terminology and shit, refugees, asylum seekers, immigrants e.t.c. don't blanda them all together. The whole asylum seeker thing where you don't even have borders is hilarious but more for your rapes and other massacres

There are a number of reasons why Ceartas doesn't like the dragons, I think foremost of which is that Greed and Justice tend not to make good bedfellows :)) anyway, back to discussions...

You though, just spent all your Essence on 10 things, one of which has been appropriated by someone else for minimal cost. If half the remaining players decided to follow suit, you've wasted 10E.
This assumes that the modification actions will be completely successful in changing Prince-Dragon mindsets, which is doubtful. Even then, I don't think the actions as written will stop the Dragon-Princes from accomplishing their primary goal of establishing civilization and thus giving me influence income.

A fair point, I guess I'm just mostly peeved at the whole "I influence creatur because NUMBERS" rather than "I influence creature by taking it aside/causing visions/applying pain" or something. More or less the same thing, I'm just evidently displeased with one over the other.

I appreciate you standing up for me like this Hector, but I'd like to say that currently I have no problems with the sea-dragon and green-dragon actions, mostly because I expect them to maintain loyalty to me. On that note, they are still my Dragons, and if the other gods expect that they can order them around there will be problems.

Well I'm not really standing up for you, this just happens to be the most egregious example I've seen (not having played the previous Void games) so that's the one I use. I was mostly just gauging opinion since it's not a huge deal-breaker for me, it just feels that applying numbers is a less interesting way of going about influencing other creatures to your god's way of thinking.

You would though, given you just did it :P

Greed gets no return on their investment though, and they didn't even get to use it. For Xylia's 2 crux she's managed to simultaneously strengthen herself and weaken a potential opponent, particularly since she basically made it the biggest, strongest and most belligerent of the creatures, and the thing technically doesn't even exist yet.

I mean it's an RP game and no RP'ing was done. If folk create things in secret for fear of another god not even letting the things exist before stealing it, we won't know what there all is to interact with.

11720
I don't mind changing creations, it's just lazy doing it so directly. Also a little bit annoying, since thes's no reason not to do anything secretly, meaning nobody will know what anyone else has if they don't' want other folk to alter what they've done. As I said, Greed spent 10E, and has wasted one of that already, while another one is kind of also being influenced by someone else. That's 20% in one Tick.

I'd rather some effort go toward manipulating things so the change is gradual and "voluntary" on the crearion's part. Change from the game progressing and RP'ing is good, since it's something you would expect from time progressing and the gods getting involved with other gods' business.

Aye, it's in the middle of nowhere near Stirling. Blair Drummond Safari Park.

There's even some wild haggis kicking about.

11722
Ceartas raises an eyebrow

"One would hope that Fenez decides not to interact in any capacity with the World Tree or any of its creations if they want the rest of us to ignore..."

Jabs his staff toward Fenetch

"... that. Time will tell."

11723
Just out of curiousity (this is a kinda on the border between IC and OOC stuff) would y'all be interested in setting ground rules re: altering creations? Specifically not being able to do it directly (spending x Essence to make y creature z instead, like what Xylia did to Greed's Prince-Dragon) but through RP means, like appearing in visions and dreams and good ol' proselytising?

At this point it seems there may not be much left of Kemal Atatürk's Turkey by the end of the year.

I am very disappointed.  ::)
Islam is strong. Secular Iran and Afghanistan are forgotten, Turkey goes the same route. The funniest stuff will start happen when we'll see desecularization of France and Germany.

That's unlikely to happen.
I can't see why not. There are more and more Muslims and they are ready to act to change Europe to their ideal, the other side is not ready to protect their ideals (no, facebook and twitter tags don't count)

I imagine the political process matters, though. They won't manage it through that, not in a historically non-Muslim country.

While I appreciate ISIS and the like are quite happy to force their views on others vis-a-vis non-secular governments, they are very much in the minority, even moreso in the aforementioned non-Muslim countries..

If you're expecting people to convert en masse to Islam - a very necessary step I would imagine, in the world you foresee - then I would be quite willing to bet money you won't ever see that happen, certainly not to the extremist, mass murder-y, "let's enact religious law" variety.

11725
You haven't given the Fezethi souls.

Are souls necessary for worship in Stirk's games?

Really the only insects I don't like handling are house crickets, because the little bastards are good at escaping and flee all over the house and it takes weeks to catch them all.
What about BEEEEEEEEEEEEEES? Or wasps i guess. I'd rather poke a bee (lightly from the side so it doesn't die or get mad at me) than a wasp (violently from above so it dies messily), but i'd rather not poke any of them if given the choice. Badminton rackets are much better at dealing with wasps (bees are too chill to deserve being struck down with great fury), so why bother poking? :P

I generally just leave bees and wasps alone, though I don't mind when they land on me. They're just flying around looking for flowers and bugs (in the case of wasps) to nourish themselves and their young. Always found it confusing and annoying when people would freak out about a creature smaller than their little finger, unless it's a full swarm and you've pissed it off or you're allergic there's really no excuse to be scared of them, they can't cause much significant harm.
+1

My wife volunteered at a Safari Park in Scotland (requirement for get course) and one of the dudes there had to basically chase down a family who had exited their car quickly because of a bee. They were in the bit with lions.
