Well the best way to get better at being in social situations is being in social situations. Some people are better at it than others (you bloody extroverts!) but it is a skill, and it's one that can be developed.

One way to get good at talking with the types of folk you find attractive is to find those people in your family or friends and chat away with them. You will find that similar types of people will have similar types of interests, allowing you to add to your encyclopedia of things to discuss with new people. One thing I learned while working in retail is that most people are generally quite happy to go on and on (and on and on...) if you show a little bit of interest in them.

't internet is another way, though the major drawback with that vs. meatspace communication is there is no backspace key in meatspace, and you don't have quite as much time to formulate a reply, so it's basically just a way to get used to communicating with other folk, and a way to start off. B12 is a good place, as the folk around here are generally quite respectful of different views, and there's a feckin' lot of them about.

Well... it's also healthy. Giving up alcohol for a month gives so many health benefits (that I can't be bothered listing because I lost the article I read about them...) that it's generally a good idea.

Then you just make up for that month by drinking harder for the other 11, obviously.

If it makes you feel any better I got married to someone with whom I had been in a long-distance relationship for years.

Had an aunt and uncle visiting the last 2 days. He retired recently, presumably had enough cash to come to 'murrica. They started in Vegas for a few days, drove to California (LA and San Francisco) to visit his cousins there, came to see li'l ol' me in Wisconsin for 2 days and are going to NYC for 4 days to cap it off.

Thoroughly enjoyable, and a bit sad I didn't get to spend more time with them.

Incorrect

Well I don't see the difference between quick-saving and just saving, beyond the extra few seconds it takes to open the menu and click "sayv muh gem plz"

The game is about a cheeky AI though (if I'm not horribly mistaken) so it's a nice touch.
