Went to the pharmacist to see if they had anything to disinfect, they simply said use a salt water rinse. I did that, and it kinda feels a little worse.

Yes, if you salt a wound it will hurt. You asked for disinfection, yes?

"Be careful what you wish for - you just might get it."

"A large chunk of my gum has come off and I'm worried about infection, can yo-"

"RUB SALT IN IT YOU WEAK FOOL, THAT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A WARRIOR!"

But yes, salt water rinse is good for infection. Hurts like fuckingouch, but it's much better than septicemia. Probably.

As you say, most folk are quite established so far, and KJP seems to have started the seed of something interesting happening with that foreign energy thing. Maybe a few more interesting things regarding the races could be thought up (either by KJP or individual/groups of gods) to keep it fresh. I think folk are generally a little timid when it comes to PvP stuff, having put the time and effort into establishing themselves to risk losing it (or damaging it) doesn't really seem worth it. Perhaps that's just me though :))

I'm not sure I like the idea about advancing ages, at least not at the pace you suggest. The first YG lasted ~100 Ticks (for some reason I keep thinking 120, but maybe not) and I'd rather not be pushing far beyond space age stuff at that point. One of the things I think about with gods is that the races kinda need to be kept at a lowish tech level to really justify belief in a god, else they can just use the technology to do the things that they once prayed to a god to help them with.

I don't think Saukko really has a goal at this point, which I guess is one of the things I regret with this choice of sphere, but ah well. Other than that I'm still enjoying the game.

Communism was just a red herring.
Can't tell if punny or accurate.

It won't stop factory farms, they'll just change (or focus) their production from meat to some other animal product, like leather in the case of cows (and probably most other things which kill animals) because I don't think that anyone who owns a factory farm is just going to go "well shit, after all the money and time I've invested into this place I guess I'll just give up". You won't stop the capitalist machine that easily.

"So what would speaking against paying it out now for a time of good chaotic peace?"
"Providing a service to others. The more I go on about it, the less likely someone else will be taken in by his confidence tricks."

Takes a lot more than just money, though. Harry Harlow did some experiments that showed that a wee bit, admittedly with rhesus monkeys but it makes sense to extend that to human psychology. Ethan Couch is a good example, perhaps.

Generally, unemployed individuals are less fit for child-rearing, and while love might not be superficial enough to consider only finances or productivity, it is still a cooperation of sort, so someone who does not contribute to society and people around would, you know, not contribute to their fiance either. That's more or less a toxic relationship.

Apologies for dragging up a quote from six pages back, but I am curious why Cinder thinks this, specifically that unemployed folk are less fit for child-reading.
