We could all band together and change the physics of splitting the atom so it isn't quite as energetic as it is in RL :P

And then a new spell that does the same thing, only by fusion instead of fission! And it keeps changing every time you attempt to nerf it by changing physics, because there is no reason it can't.

Then we all vote that your school casts vegimite at everything!

@Murdoc: Atian is War and Chaos. Kyuu (piratejoe) is Death and Destruction and Meow (Kevak) is Oblivion and the Void, so those are probably the three closest to Chaos and Corruption.

I'm not sure about Corruption being a sphere though, it's a bit too close to depravity, which I think we kinda don't want.

Proposal

All schools of magic must draw their power from leylines or directly from the god creating it. This will cost the god 0.5E per 1,000 practicioners, should they decided to go that route.


((probably. I didn't look back at the cost of the leyline stuff, so yeah... it should probably be a bit more expensive than the leylines as it means there aren't any geographic limitations, as in you don't need to put leylines everywhere you expect your races to be.))

Propose: Limitation of Magic: There may only be up to a certain number of magical schools in existence. Replacing one would require total destruction of all practitioners (or converting them to a different school, depowering them, etc) and a proposal to eliminate the prior school. Hesitantly propose a limit of 7.

Amendment: Each god is allowed to create one school of magic only, at a cost of 5E with no collaboration. Should a deity wish to replace a school of magic they have created, they must remove all knowledge of its existence. If a deity is found to have created more than one school of magic, the knowledge for using the magic of both schools is wiped from existence - mortals memories are wiped and all documentation is destroyed - and the offending god is put into stasis, unable to act for 3 Ticks.

Propose: Divine Agents: A divine agent costs 2E base, and selects from the same traits as normal creatures. An agent that may be directly controlled costs 3E base, unless said agent cannot act independently (e.g. a statue that only comes to life when a god controls it directly.) Divine agents are mortal (within a loose definition of such), and separate from any angels/devils/etc that may be proposed.

Propose: Banlist - Trait Combinations: Certain combinations of traits can be banned by the council.

So yeah, currently we do, unless we make a system for making magic systems like we did with creature traits.

Well, that makes sense, but we could make a proposal to limit the magic power to the leyline stuff we've got kicking about, or to draw directly from the god that creates it. Probably an IC thing though, as Murdoc suggests...

Might be a bit better. Any PR claims by the town do limit the pool the scum have to choose from to find the spy though, so perhaps the cop isn't that much of a problem

Assuming nobody gets blocked or protected, town only really have two chances to find scum before it all gets to be very finicky with tied votes and such, while scum essentially get four chances to find the spy before that happens, and are free to do as they please after that point, really. Maybe a cop that can't be protected instead? I don't think I'm liking the insta-win after the Spy is killed thing, but that's a preference thing.

Tell me what you'd think of this open setup:

2 Town Vanilla
1 Mafia Roleblocker
1 Mafia Rolecop
1 Town Spy
1 Town Doctor
1 Town cop

Spy gets access to the mafiachat.
Mafia's goal is not to outnumber the town, but to find and kill the spy. If spy gets lynched, that still fulfills mafia's goal. Town's goal is to lynch both mafia.
Mafia share a kill, but one has to use the kill if they want to use it, and can't use the kill and their own ability at same time.
The mafia know eachother, and they know there's a spy; unlike if the spy were a traitor.
The spy may chat in the mafiachat if he wants.

Risks a follow the cop strategy for town, I think, especially if the mafia roleblocker gets killed early. There's also nothing stopping (well... technically the roleblocker, but you know what I mean :P) the spy revealing early and then being incessantly protected by the doctor.

Well that round everything kinda got done during the game. Nobody needed to discuss my role because I told them all the salient bits during D2 (I was afeared that giving away too much information might reveal a hidden auto, so I wasn't going to say my role name or much of the flavour heh) and then D3 lasted all of two hours so...

Bit silly of you guys to do that though :P I mean I think I'm pretty good at reading FoU as scum, but that was a dangerous thing to do! :o
