Mafia / Re: Local Emergency Mafia | Bastard Game: Day 3 (7/9)

Hector, what's your role flavour? It seems unlikely that there'd just be a vanilla townie with no other name in the game considering that everyone else seems to have a role name and ability.

It does, but that doesn't make it impossible.

I also don't like referring to my PM partly for the lack of things I can paraphrase, but also it feels like PM quoting. Don't kill meh!

I don't like the mayor 'cause taxes, I'm not the only one that thinks this, I want the mayor to go away, terminally.

As for mayor nominations, I'd quite like to not have DA and NQT as candidates. ATH claimed chief physician and something about candidacy, while NQT and DA have claimed police chief and fire chief respectively. They have also claimed slightly different wincons from the rest of town.

[thinking out loud] Anyhow, we've had two pairs of people (who also all claimed my wincon...) claim the same role; Rev and BHK with truth-teller (or in BHK's case, a broken variety) and TDS and fillipk with tracker/watcher nonsense, which with the watcher only identifies that someone visited, not who it was. Could we then assume that one of TDS' and fillipk's roles is defective in some way? That requires the assumption that BHK is being honest about their role. [/tol]

There still appears to be a puzzle to figure out here. could we have two different town factions, balanced the same..? But then how does my role fit into this?

I'm not liking BHK right now, but I'm not sure if lynching is the best choice at the moment. We have no mayor, nobody is in line to replace them, and we haven't had any NKs so far.

DA is also rubbing me the wrong way. It makes sense for there to be a fire chief... but it's not outside the realm of possibility for a fire chief to start fires to keep their job.

Referendum on Removing Mayoral Elections!

Election count request

PPE:
Yeah I'm not buying 'vanilla town' from Hector. There's only so many players in the game that can be a crook, it's looking increasingly likely you're the one.

Don't rightly care. We have truth-tellers, they can check it should they so desire.

Hector may or may not be lying, but I know DA isn't being straight with us.

How do you know DA's lying?

We're on computers. Theres a grocery store proboblly not that far from were you live. Seriouslly people theres wealth, lots of wealth. My granparents couldn't even imagine the stuff we have. You don't even have to work that hard for it.

Now if we could stop the delusion that we're an extorted polterate we might make some real progress.

Perhaps I'll drop this and this here for your perusal, and ask: what makes you say it's deluded for anyone to think employees aren't exploited for every drop an employer can get from them? Because we can buy nice things? Have pleasant conveniences?

What does progress mean to you?

Managed to get first place a few times, though not near my longest snake. Stayed there for a while. Evidently what I've dubbed the "constrictor" (surrounding a smaller snake until they die) method is pretty effective once you get to be quite long. You start speeding up when you're behind a snake, then avoid smashing into them in the turn around their head. Occasionally they realise what's going on, but oftentimes it's too late...

Also noticed some dudes charging around a lot, presumably to collect the food they create by going faster... I'm not sure if they realise that doing so is quite inefficient.

I tend to go by the name SnekkySnek, byraway. If you see me, stay clear :P

Mafia / Re: Beginner's Mafia LIX: The Train - Daybreak (Day 2)

Weekends generally aren't very active, though given that folk are playing this to learn how the game works, you'd hope they'd post just to get a little bit of action going...

EP said it earlier guys: inactivity is a bad thing for town. In other words, a quiet town is a dead town. Let's not just hand the game to the scum by default, eh?

Would also point out to O. Wilde that weekends don't count. Prods shouldn't happen, even if it is entirely frustrating that no bastard is saying anything >:(

FoU

And why, considering my reasoning from yesterday, and the fact that the game isn't over, do you think hector is not the Evil role? He's the only one left! Starver and I basically confirmed each other as not having preformed the kill, leaving you and hector, you just had your role changed, leaving hector. Only hector's left as the possible Evil role. So why do you not think he's Evil? I need an explanation here.

You're left as well, actually. For all we know, you have an auto that can tell you if someone can take a night action. All Starver's confirmation of his night action on N1 tells us is he didn't take an action on N1. You then claimed you used a"blocking" role on someone who doesn't have a night action, and really killed TBF. /speculation

My role has been confirmed by another player even after they were lynched. The fact the game hasn't ended tells us Moonlit wasn't the Evil role, so why would he lie about confirming my role as neutral or town, and then after his role has been wiped?

Hector is Asriel. It was in my role name, and I think I can trust it. I didn't have a role that is easily fooled. Especially with the lore behind it.
I don't have anything to say to that. You can't prove it, but it could still be true.

You can't prove your role either, but you still expect us to take your word on it. Why do you expect us to accept your word but not Moonlit's?

How do you know Hector doesn't have an action?
I don't know that. I do, however, know that he took no action last night, because he's not dead. I used Blue Attack on him, which would have killed him if he took an action. He took no action, and there was no kill last night. It seems pretty straightforward to me.

Confirmation bias if you're town. I don't have an action to take, which is why I didn't take an action. You don't seem willing to accept any argument that doesn't portray me as scum, FoU. This is bothersome.

My only thoughts regarding the NK was it was a one-shot, or that it was Moonlit what did it. The latter is less likely seeing as he was wiped yesterday and the game hasn't ended... unless he was a neutral murder role or something.

Moonlit: can you tell us anything about your previous role? Did you do the NK?

After all, you have a kill.
Which only works if my target takes an action. It's basically been verified that I didn't preform the kill N1(and still, how did TBF die with that Mercy auto?), seeing as I confirmed Starver took no action...

Nonsense. As I said above, Starver confirmed he took no action, but how does that prove your claim of a "blocking" role that kills? Heck, since nobody you claimed to have "blocked" has died, we don't even know if your claimed ability works!

The only reason I'm not voting you right now is because I'm also unsure about Starver. He didn't respond to my points about his vote on me, which could be because he was busy, or because he's scum and doesn't care.

It's obvious to me that one of you is the scum, I just need to figure out which one...

Starver

I need a response to this post. Also your thoughts on what is happening.

Deus claimed fire chief already.

I get the difficult to accept title of Vanilla Townsperson.

I think OSG has it in for me seeing as I think he's scum all the time... /probably joking

Well Self-employment is going well but now I have three jobs

1) A rush order (as in something I have a single day to produce instead of my usual)
2) A small job
3) My parents want to actually hire me and pay me for my services (which honestly I don't think they actually want to do)

Yet I guess it is all worth it since if I do all three jobs correctly it means... Well no money actually because it all goes into new equipment for my job.

I feel it necessary to point out that money re-invested into the business is money, seeing as how that new equipment is going to be used to (presumably) improve either the quality or efficiency of your work. It's money for the future, meng.

Telleh is still under warranty!

Telleh could take up to three weeks to fix, including the time it takes for them to send out a box (3-5 business days) receive the box with broken telleh after we send it (?) fix and return the telleh (7-10 business days) and however long it takes for us to receive the box (?) with fixed telleh.

Damn. Guess I'll be getting more housework done than usual.

Mah telleh broke :(

I am surprisingly less upset about that than I expected. But still, it will be either expensive to fix or expensive to replace. Bugger.
