EBWOP

That "some" in the last bit was meant to be "something".

The unfortunate thing is that the statistics don't have much to do with the game. It's all well and good saying "if we have a jailor we should do this" but we might not have a jailor at all. There's a statistical chance that the scum would benefit from pointing out the best course of action for the existence of a jailor when there's a chance the jailor isn't present, 'cause it ceases to be the best course of action.

It's a fallacious argument. Just because some is statistically likely doesn't mean it's going to happen.

15198
Why not? You never answered that.

15199
Er... that's not what I said. And now OSG is the lynch target.

Looks like you're not paying attention to the game Fillipk. Why did you initially vote DA?

Why are you voting OSG now?

Two different questions, so I want two different answers.

Jailor shouldn't claim. Presently I'm the prime NK target because I can out scum, either directly or through process of elimination. Jailor can stop the kill in two ways, which is much more of a problem for scum. Don't do it just yet, if you exist.

Not really. Not everyone in a family is going to be working, and even if they are, there are multiple people to look after from the same pool.

Social healthcare is the way to go. Not gonna happen though, insurance industry is a bit too entrenched to want to lose the income that 300 million fragile bags of flesh, blood and bone are pretty much obliged to pay them.

15201
I thought Dr. Carson's Healthcare Idea made more sense than any other ideas i've heard about so far.

What is his healthcare plan? /toolazytolook

Why not? Stats don't mean anything. They/you basically laid out what could happen given multiple variables. Scum are happy to do that because it makes it look as though they're pondering the game without really bringing anything to the table. It's not scumhunting is basically what I'm getting at there.

Not sure why Fillipk is voting DA though, I didn't quite get it from his posts. Could you explain in more detail why you think DA is scum, and why this means you're not voting for OSG, your other scumspect?

My wincon is to take out the Evil role. Which is why I'm voting you.

15206
Why are you pointing out scummy things OSG did while voting for someone else..?

Particularly when you seem to be voting DA for inactivity. Is being inactive something only scum do?

You're relying on the mod for defense now? Bit of a cop out is it not?

If I had my role stolen, you wouldn't need to hint at it since I'd already know my role was stolen, so why you think you'd need to hint at it is beyond me... poor gambit, bro.

Sounds like you've been working on that for a bit. Funny how it comes out after someone else votes for you, and after the second post of a claimed "1-3 posts 'til you die" thing. They have to die to unvote you if they choose to believe you. Awfully convenient, isn't it?

The assertion that cis people are physically incapable of understanding trans people...Eeeeeeh.

Also, a decent portion of those statements are unequivocally supportive as written, then mutilated.

E:Wait, cis people might miss nuance?   Oh, yep.  Makes sense.

I didn't say physically incapable. Some perhaps are, but it was more of a psychological thing I was referring to.

For example, there are trans people who go full bore for the post-op stuff and some that are happy to identify as the opposite gender of their sex without surgery, while they're both referred to as trans. I don't understand this (meaning I exist in a position of ignorance through lack of knowledge, and don't have an informed opinion, so I pretty much don't have one beyond "huh?")

Even the concept of being trans is difficult for me, personally, again through the lack of knowledge/being ignorant/no informed opinion. While I like to think I'm quite an empathic person, I'm also pragmatic; aesthetics have never really bothered me, so... it's hard for me to put myself in the position of someone to which aesthetics appears to be* quite important. Also being comfortably cis probably makes it difficult. It's apparently quite difficult to explain succinctly, sorry.

The fact that it's also lumped into the sexuality argument (LGBT) is... weird too. Being trans isn't a sexual preference... is it?

*an observation, rather than THIS IS HOW IT FUCKING IS GUYS

because a lot of it is negative
Yes, but quite often it actually isn't negative.  Or, well, like 3/8ths or so isn't negative at least.

@hector:Please, please tell me that was a joke.

No it wasn't! It was all true, like the moon landings being faked, George W planning 9/11 and... other conspiracy theories I can't think of right now.

Though the bit about cis being unable to get their head around some trans things is you know... kinda fair? Just... there are ways that discomfort can be expressed that isn't entirely offensive to trans.

So yeah, basically all of the "translated" quotes could be "I don't really understand trans people", too.
