The vast, vast, vast majority of people in prison are non-violent.

Edit: rather, imprisoned for non-violent crimes.

Edit 2: even then, there are an estimated 11.5 million people in prison in the world, including detention centers like the Uighur camps in China.

At the end of the day it’s threads in a forum for a (currently) niche game. They’re not that important, and NS is technically discussing things generally.

Absolutely if a case was prosecuted incorrectly (at any point from the crime being reported to the end of the court case) the defendant shouldn’t be convicted. They have rights too, and impinging on them does not create justice, regardless of guilt.

His counsel was clearly incompetent enough to not challenge allowing three avowed racists on the jury in a trial involving a black man, and that jury decided against the insanity defense. Had that defense stood, he would’ve been put in a secure psychiatric facility to treat his mentall illness.

Oh damn, apparently having longstanding mental illness and GOUGING OUT YOUR EYE WITH YOUR BARE HANDS doesn’t make you insane in Texas.

Just reading the Wikipedia page on him is enough to get incensed. Dude was failed by so many institutions so many times, and continues to be failed.

Try again to cast prescience unfettered, and then shoot the kannon with whichever tank gun I’m manning.

Happy birthday magmaqb

The universe marches ever onwards to glory

I envision an American sports star made out of molten rock.

I like how they post the small claims judge should just accept their argument as common sense rather than as legally viable, and that’s the least ridiculous of the positions they take.

That’s Pan Oczywisty to you.

Unless internet translators lie.

I wanted my colonists to be able to have kids, it’s not as though kids are useless when they can perambulate. They can move things around, do simple tasks like cleaning. Learn by watching adults do things, that kind of nonsense.

Russia doesn’t seem to think so, the bridge has partially re-opened.

A bit cheeky of them to suggest Ukraine has terroristic tendencies when they have targeted schools, hospitals, shopping malls, and theatres during their own campaign of terror.

It wasn’t what I was thinking then, I was thinking of the tutorial heh.

I would probably agree with Bloody Disgusting for the Dark Anthology games, Little Hope is the best of a not great bunch, but I think that’s because I figured out the twist during the tutorial in Medan, and at least clocked a twist at the start of Little Hope, but not what it meant.

House of Ashes was utter garbage, by and large. They… throw a lot at you about what it is going on, and for some reason choose the most utterly ridiculous thing. Possibly due to criticism of the first two games being predictable.

The new one, based solely on the little teaser trailer you get at the end of Ashes, does look like just your standard slasher flick, which I am actually really excited about.

That’s pretty good stuff. Those games are unbelievably forgiving of mistakes.

Edit: in saying that, if they’re what I’m thinking of, only one of those deaths is avoidable.

If you work in a right to work state, methinks you get a new job and ghost your current employers. Utter bullshit they expect you to be cool with that.

That could be the point of what they’re doing though.
