Freedom of speech means the government can’t act against you because of what you say, it doesn’t mean other people aren’t allowed to suggest you stop being a prick.
People on a forum aren't the government. Nor are the forum admins. That's why people were banned for e.g encouraging genocide, like that Cheesie Honkers guy who I reported.
I am aware of this, and that was my point. I appreciate you putting it in a different way.

EJ does not seem to understand this.
Yeah, I was agreeing with you.
It’s morning where I am, I don’t do well in the morning. I can be slow at the best of times heh.

I’m not bashing on democracy, I’m exploring your points :p

The people who tend to be elected in democracies are old people, particularly for leadership positions, and there are usually only a handful of parties to choose from, that usually have well-established positions, so “overthrowing” a democratic government just means replacing one set of old people with old ideas with a slightly different set of old people with slightly different old ideas.

My place of employment also made masks optional, which most people took to get rid of them.

I’m still wearing mine currently as there are various at risk people on my immediate orbit, and I’m alright with an extra layer of safety for them, if you’ll excuse the pun.

I mean… democracy is an old idea.

Old people in and of themselves aren’t the problem then, as you point out: lack of open-mindedness is. That can be taught, it just won’t be because it requires critical thinking, but critical thinking is a danger to people in power, who aren’t going to be adding it to the curriculum anytime soon.

Eventually, life extension will turn the world into a sociological swamp. Putin proves that well enough.

These two sentences don’t seem to have any connection to one another.

The US is not the only country in the world to escape Putin from.

Anyway, Putin sends assassins after people that betray him regardless of where they are in the world, denying oligarchs access to a handful of countries out of hundreds won’t change that.

Isn’t that we’re the liberals sell their ill-gotten GAINS FREED FROM CONSERVATIVE CLUTCHES?

We need a slogan!

I'm just going to repeat my argument that this war wouldn't be happening if Trump won the election.
Essentially, my belief is that if Trump were elected, Putin would have waited until after Trump's second term in office.

So no, I will not go down the "What if Putin launched this invasion while Trump was in office?" hypothetical, since I don't buy that as a legitimate possibility.

Argue/Disagree all you want.  For me, this is a BELIEF, and BELIEFS ARE HARD TO CHANGE.
There is zero benefitto me to concede on this issue in any way.
I should really be cross-posting this here

Then why are you labouring the point? You’ve made your position clear, you’re not going to change your mind, you’re making no effort to engage with anyone, so there’s no need to continue posting the same thing over and over.
Why are you trying to stifle my freedom of speech?
What on earth gave you the idea I’m trying to stifle your speech?

There’s… so much wrong with that I don’t even know where to begin.

Toady made hector a mod?  That's crazy.

I would suggest that cosmetic DLC is a cancer, but if the devs are still maintaining a game and adding content outside of DLCs, it’s one way to pay the bills for the least amount of effort.

You are correct that DLC on its own is alright though. I’ve bought plenty of DLC because I’ve enjoyed a game and want more, and opted out of DLC because my experience of the base game was plenty.

Some things are a bit cheeky though, like on-disc DLC, or incremental additions that don’t necessarily add up to “content” as it were.

Oh I see, it didn’t load properly when I first clicked the link.

Do EA need some goodwill or something? They make boatloads of money making decidedly okay games, they didn’t have to do this.

What are EA doing?
