I remember a panto I went to many, many years ago in Edinburgh, featuring the late Andy Gray. I can’t remember much about it, except the broad strokes of Andy Gray’s character having an argument with their mother, about going to Forfar for Forfar fur for his mum.

How American, thinking that 3 orders of magnitude constitutes a new name!

It’s been a while since I looked into it, but I think a billion is a million million (12 zeroes) and trillion is technically a million million million (18 zeroes), so the game is right.

On the flip side, it could also become much more deadly because of it’s now endemic nature resulting from people saying it’s obviously a hoax/engineered so governments can control the population/just a ‘flu/only going to kill people the old and the weak who don’t contribute to society/not worth shutting everything down, etc.

The game is quite brutal during a genocide run, especially if you’ve played the game on a normal and pacifist run prior to it, but it is made up for during that fight with Sans and the music for it.

Though to be fair the music is awesome for pretty much everything else in the game.

Yeah... I think Lala (if that's who you're referencing) is supposedly older than she looks, but still only like 17 or somethin' like that.

I thought the teletubbies were supposed to be like, toddlers

Entirely off-topic question, but did the telethon idea telethon he’s there is no telethon ffs autocorrect did the Teletubbies get translated to Swedish, and were the names of the teletubbies changed at all?

I watched Cowboy Bebop recently.

Not really sure why it was 26 episodes long, the amount of story there was. It was quite underwhelming.

I haven’t seen the move, but based on the series, I’m rather disinclined to look it out.

I would’ve thought that the Netherlands would have had 5G all over, given the Dutch nuclear authority said that various wearable “anti-5G” products are actually radioactive.

Obviously that’s just because these products work and the government is lying about the scale of the rollout and doesn’t want people not being mind-controlled by the 5G network, or getting Covid from the 5G network, or whatever other nonsense it’s supposed to do.

3353
I would put that ignorance rather than dumbness counters intelligence.

Chuckling “now why would anyone soak a rope in kerosene?”

I didn’t expect this thread to still be going after a page of people hailing Toady’s reluctance to wield the banhammer.

Ah well, I miss OW, but as mentioned Toady gives many second chances before ejecting.

To be perfectly honest, so long as the folks weren’t banned for something horrible or stupid, like condoning genocide, and didn’t cause any further issues, Toady would probably be alright with some of them coming back.

I think that might fall under agnostic theism, as that’s kind of where I’m at.

I have a very firm belief that organised religion is one of the most horrible things humanity has come up with, but I suppose I like the idea of a higher being.

Then again I was raised Catholic so that’s probably where the latter part of that came from, as it’s certainly where the former did heh.

Well there are two binaries that aren’t mutually exclusive, yeah.

A/gnosticism, dealing with knowledge of a higher being. and a/theism, dealing with belief in a higher being.

Agnostics believe you can’t know if a higher being exists, gnostics believe you can.

Atheists believe there is no higher being, theists do.

An agnostic atheist thus believes there is no higher being, you just can’t prove it.

A gnostic atheist believes there is no higher being.

An agnostic theist believes there is a higher being, you just can’t prove it.

A gnostic theist believes there is a higher being.

It’s all a bit more complicated than that, but that’s the gist.

However, as a counterpoint to Dwarfy, there are some atheists who are as vocal and fervent in their belief as any theist, Richard Dawkins being a good example.
