I've never understood this sentiment - trying to limit the number of vectors is the goal. If a rat chews through one of your boxes of cereal, you don't just give up the entire pantry to them.

The solution isn't to lock the rats in the pantry, however.

Omicron cases detected in California and Minnesota.

Clearly we should now give up on trying to reduce the number of people spreading Covid and have an open border policy instead.

Herd immunity has to work sometime, amirite?

Dead by Daylight is alright if you have someone to play it with, though that limits you to a survivor, otherwise it can be torturous, especially as killer.

They did update the matchmaking thing recently though, so once you play a few games it’ll at least put you with similarly ranked opponents, and they say it tracks your skill with each killer independently so if you’re good with one but horrible with another it won’t mess your matchmaking up.

Yeah, the first Covid shot I got was noticeably painful, but the second one (given by a different person) was not at all.

The person giving your booster probably got the yips, or just didn’t like the look of you.

You know how peasants in the middleages kept getting poorer because they were splitting up their land to all their heirs? Well imagine one woman one child, with each consecutive generation getting wealthier than the generation before... The cosmic horror -.-
Nobody likes gavelkind for a reason. Primogeniture for the win!
I preferred ultimogeniture, personally, though the designate heir option in ck3 is tremendous.

Sole question: Was there a new Covid variant identified by the WHO in Africa and that's why Trump banned travel from Africa at the time?

IIRC, Trump's ban affected only prospective immigrants without visas. If you had a visa or citizenship, you were unaffected. I believe Joey B's affects literally everyone who is physically located in those African nations.

If all of the above is true, then yes, one is effective at preventing a new strain of Covid from entering the nation, and the other is effective at preventing black people from immigrating to the US.

The Trump ban being referred to was related to terrorism. Biden's COVID ban has an exception for US citizens and permanent residents.

Funnily enough the terrorism ban didn’t include countries that funded or were home to terrorists (looking at you, Saudi Arabia) and Trump’s covid travel restrictions also did not include restrictions on US citizens or permanent residents.

You might be able to get a seasonal position to get you through December, but it probably won’t be well paid beyond that if they offer to keep you on.

Equally so, what’s done is done. You did what was right for you at the time, your current struggles are worth it when you do find a job that doesn’t make you sick with stress.

It’s when two sentences meet at dawn, and there’s a risk one of them might not make it to lunch.

(for srs though, what is it?)

What if I'm one of the people that eats several different kinds of starburst at the same time?

I liked to do that when I was young, just eat lots of starburst and have a big chewy ball of starburst in my mouth.

I discovered today that there is a Starburst all pink drink mix.

Why would you choose the worst flavour in the bag to do that with?
