Quite the embarrassing day for American justice.

So there's been another attempt of jury intimidation. Allegedly, a producer from MSNBC was trying to follow the jury bus.

MSNBC is now banned from the courthouse.

What do you mean “another”?

According to the local NPR station, it was a freelancer, not a producer.

I thought one of the Maine (ha) touristy things on the East coast was leaf peeping.

Which is one of the most annoyingly stupid things people do, driving slowly through forests and randomly pulling over in such a manner that the car(s) behind them can’t get past when they’re trying to get somewhere.

It happens almost everywhere in the world it’s really not that interesting watching leaves die. /rant

I have 11 days off work, at least 2 of which I will be very, very drunk.

I also cut my hair and shaved my beard because apparently I don’t need to look like a hillbilly for that anymore.

Discount double check!

… for covid, because he needs two consecutive false tests before he can come back.

He’s very good at what he does, but he’s also a bit of a tit.

I just read an article on it and apparently he’s taking hydroxychloroquine while also railing against the lack of scientific evidence that wearing a mask prevents covid.

It’s probably a good thing this may be his last year at the team.

I think Frumple’s position is that as pregnancy is a unique thing in that it requires the bodily resources and functions of a woman in order to actually work properly, and there’s no other thing like it outside the womb so it shouldn’t be treated like any other medical procedure.

Or something like that, I’m pretty sure I know what they mean I’m just trying to get it across in the 3 minutes I have left before my break ends.

Probably the side that recently invaded the center of government because they could not stand losing.

Assuming they lose, which they probably won’t.

I would like to invest in your chicken stocks

If you invest wisely, you might make a few bouillon.

Like Warren Buffet.

Having not eaten meat (except fish, and eggs I guess) for a few years and then trying it out a couple of times in the past six months, I can say that meat is actually kinda boring.

Chicken in particular. I think everything is said to taste like chicken because it doesn’t really taste of anything.

I was under the impression there was something like a chickenpox vaccine (is there even a chickenpox vaccine?) that was derived from an aborted foetus or some other such nonsense that got religious folks in such a tizzy that now any type of vaccine is viewed as coming from the same because you cannot use the science furthered from such methods.

I find myself kind of accepting that if someone doesn’t want to get the vaccine that they shouldn’t be forced to get it though. Does seem a bit over-reachy.

On the same token, though, there is only one person that I have any sort of positive regard for that I know for suresies is unvaccinated, so maybe that plays a part in that.

For real suresies if a healthcare worker or someone who regularly interacts with people who might be more susceptible to severe illness should probably be removed from that position if they are refusing a vaccine. Harsh on the one hand, losing bodily autonomy, but if you see everyday how a severe covid illness affects a person and their family, and you still refuse to get vaccinated (beyond a solid reason) then you probably shouldn’t be a healthcare worker in the first place.

My sports ball team won a game against a previously unbeaten opponent (after 6 of 17 games) despite missing 3 starting “skill” players on offense (out of 11), 4 starting players on defense (also out of 11), and the coach who tells the defense how to play.

Slightly gobsmacked.

LW used to post clips of an Islamic TV station or news show, the name of which escapes me, being unapologetically anti-Semitic and misogynistic and homophobic, and probably other awful things too.

But yeah, hatred doesn’t change much regardless who expresses it.

What is it with Americans and breaking the food rules?

Butter on your pancakes.

Sugar on your French toast.

Pineapple on your pizza.

Honey on your chicken.

Like, really, I know you’re the melting pot of the world but some things just don’t go together.
