There’s your problem: assuming English language rules actually make sense.

I had a similar dream the other night

I have been mildly ill recently, and consequently taking NyQuil to quell the symptoms long enough to actually fall asleep.

I didn’t take it one night and my brain evidently decided to do a mash-up of various video games I’d been playing, and I befriended a cheeky talking velociraptor that could go invisible while we hunted, and got hunted by, various things in a jungle for an indeterminate period.

Stealing candy from a baby is mean, stealing candy from a criminal baby is fine.

Apparently doing anything untoward so long as it’s to a criminal is cool beans.

There are many emotions, not aided by a miscarriage in a previous pregnancy and my apparent penchant for reading about what can go wrong between now and expulsion. lols :|

Also, that Sundrop woman came back into the store yesterday, I’m pretty godsdamned sure. She asked for Sundrop again and I was ready, took her right to it but there was none, so she took the opportunity to ask “no Sundrop?” four times despite me telling her and pointing to the empty shelf every time. She also asked one of my colleagues a further two times.

I think she’s an android that requires it to continue running, and if she can’t get it she gets stuck in a feedback loop.

I parallel parked for the first time on Tuesday, and I did it like I’ve done it a thousand times. Genuinely considered taking a photo of it.

also I will be parent in, like, 5 months

Here's a classic I remembered upon hearing "Ives" mentioned in a different context:
Quote
As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man with seven wives,
    Each wife had seven sacks,
    Each sack had seven cats,
    Each cat had seven kits:
    Kits, cats, sacks, and wives,
How many were there going to St. Ives?

How do you dial “one”?

You’ll want to replace me I think, I’m leaving the forum for an indeterminate period so won’t be contributing to this.

It was a lot of fun though, thanks for running it!

3414
Eh I’ll be giving the forum a miss for a while, I think.

A bad thing happened on the mafia forum a few months back and I lost respect for a lot of people as a result, not least myself for not challenging it harder, and beyond that it seems every time I come here I leave it in a bad mood worse mood than when I came.

Few of you will care, just letting y’all know in case someone worries or something. *shrug*

You’ve clearly never seen Rick and Morty, lest this would not be your proposal.

3416
Or just press the “mark all messages read” button once you’ve gone through the shit you care about.

He’s presumably buying stocks low and selling them high.

There’s more than one stock you know :p

Has that factored in people generally needing to eat multiple times per day, versus pregnancy being limited to roughly half the population and occurring not nearly as frequently?

Edit: like, just spitballing it, 330m people eating 3 meals a day is pretty much 1 billion eats a day, so 365 billion eats a year, and you’ll be shoveling food in your mouth more times than that ‘cause we are not Pennywise the clown.

5200 deaths from probably over a trillion possible choking events is pretty much nothing.

My wife (who had covid) got off with a sore arm both times, my cousin’s first shot either lead to him getting quite ill or he just coincidentally got sick around the time he got it.

I was under the impression all the EA Sports games were microtransaction vehicles.

I haven’t played Madden for years but the mode that always got the attention was ultimate team, which I had zero interest in, and the same thing seems to exist in all their sports games, usually to the detriment of the actual gameplay.
