I am fairly lucky in that migraines for me only really happen if I have too much or too little sleep, and I’m evidently aware enough of it coming on that I can take painkillers to at least stop the headache. Not too sure if being dehydrated also does it for me.

I still get to feel nauseated for the rest of the day though, which also gets worse depending on light, so that always sucks balls.

Hopefully a good night’s sleep sorts you out dude.

I don't want higher minimum wage. I want people to stop paying for things that have price increases, so that benefits of technology are given to the masses instead of the corps (in the form of lower prices, not higher profits).

Consider there are two solutions to the problem of "if AI takes over the world, there will be no jobs": the first is to just make up money and give it to people; the second is to let prices drop.

No, I don't mean that I favor deflation - I favor profits being realized in the form of lower prices instead of larger bank account balances.

I’m an idealist and think that’s pie in the sky thinking :p

Shareholders would never accept anything that hits them in the pocketbook, certainly not willingly reducing the income of a company in which they’ve invested.

They also aren’t likely to accept increasing a significant expenditure like their wage bill, so it needs to be legislated on, I think.

What made it self-defense?

Depends on how big the queen is. Normal sized wasps lose the ranking battle by dint of pesticides and fire. Human sized wasps would win the ranking battle by face huggering the police chief and using their living flesh as an incubation chamber. It's a complicated comparison, y'dig?

I've seen wasp-Rick, so Frumple's description is entirely accurate.

The fact you’re aware of these thoughts and (presumably) the patterns they take is a really good thing. It means you can work toward pulling them out and examining them and their roots in order to figure out whether they’re useful to keep around. If you are at such a level of stress or whatever that it’s making you feel like you’re going mad, then maybe not.

You learned to have these responses from your middle school experience, and it is possible to unlearn them, too.

Are you perchance receiving therapy alongside your medication? It sounds like some CBT1 (based mostly on my own experience with it rather than anything else) would be quite useful for you to help sort through these thoughts.

1 of the cognitive behavioural variety. Knowing this place, there has been some willful misinterpretation of the abbreviation...

Yeah all these Englishmen infiltrating Scotland and committing indecencies gets worse every day

Exactly.

We Scots can commit our own indecencies, thank you very much.

And now we know why we do not fuck with Bambi.
Because zoophilia is disgusting and banned by the law?
Don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it, man.

Yeah he was a bad man.

Apparently still popular in conservative circles, which speaks rather poorly of French conservatives.

Too bad he can serve his sentence under house arrest rather than in an actual jail, but at least they prosecuted him I guess.

My brother's girlfriend (she's like a second sister at this point) apparently showed my picture to a pair of her very attractive hiker friends and now they want to arrange a mountain hike with me.

Wait what?

The volcano requires sacrifice.
