It does beggar belief that they would encourage observers to leave the room but forget to do anything to the surveillance footage.

According to the Georgia Secretary of State’s office was aware of the late night counting and said o servers were present until counting halted.

Trump is milking this gravy train for all it’s worth; he and the GOP have raised upwards of $200m since the election, and there’s still a couple of weeks before the electoral college officially votes, plus another month after that before he gets kicked out of office. Plenty of time to rack up another couple hundred mill.

There comes a point when you’ll just pee out any water your body seems superfluous.

I personally find milk makes me feel thirsty because it coats my throat, so I need to drink something else to get rid of that feeling.

Face for radio means someone is ugly.

kumquat.

I once named the player character in a horse racing game Percival Kumquat as it is quite clearly the funniest name.

I am mildly upset at worldwide scientific funding.
Can people just not stop with spending billions on completely unimportant matters like settling the moon or curing Covid, and put some funding into really important things,

like,
WHERE DO MY SOCKS GO? I found out I currently have 20 what-used-to-be pairs-but-are-now-single-socks.

Why tf do you have 20 pairs of socks?

Has everyone given up on the game? I bought it.

I was going to be a loyal vassal in Alba, that lasted for my first character, now I’m fighting my liege for a single county because it hurt me not to have it (Gowrie in Albany. I have all the other counties in the duchy, which surround Gowrie) and I fear that was an error as now I’m criminal.

I’ll have 6k troops if he fails to imprison me though. Still need to finis the war, but I’d be shocked if I don’t win as I have an alliance with West Francia if things get dicey, plus the pennies to hire a few mercenaries.

I like the way hiring mercenaries works now. I’m less enamoured with men at arms, but that’s just because I currently can only have 4 regiments, and that’s not enough to balance everything out for counters.

That was what I got, too.

To be fair to him he’s probably right that the whole antisemitism thing has been blown out of proportion, but to be fair to the party, he has been really, really awful at dealing with it since the start.

US healthcare: But if we had universal healthcare there would be huge lines

Also US healthcare: Yeah earliest appointment I can give you is a month from now

My favourite excuse is that taxes will go up if the US has universal healthcare.

I have paid more in health insurance in the 5 years in the US than I did in 27 years of taxes for the NHS.

PLUS I have to pay for the healthcare I do receive in the US in addition to that insurance.

People are really stupid is what I'm saying.

Got me a pair of Letscom... whatevers, I guess. Have used them for an hour or so, they apparently have a 100hr battery life. Allegedly have a built-in mic but I’m not sure if it it’s any good. It also came with an audio cable so I could also use them with my PS4 :o

Ah well. They work, $21 well spent so far.

The fearful man dies a thousand times, the brave man dies only once. Stop being dead.

I too played Rome Total War and read the loading screen tips.

I smiled, so you win.

"Nobody I know is dying, so I don't have to care."

On the contrary. Everyone I know is dying, as am I, as are you. I made that abundantly clear.

You don’t appeared to have internalized the logical conclusion of this that any course of action is thus pointless in the face of your inevitable non-existence.

Like, nothing you do matters, so why even make the effort of arguing? It changes nothing, even if you succeed.

I only have experience with four or five intensely religious people that I work with, and when statements like “Jesus will protect me” come up in the context of taking basic precautions to stop spreading covid, I think the person involved loses decision-making rights as it pertains to protecting people from covid. You don’t need to go to a church to worship god when god is said to have created literally everything, so anywhere is god’s house.

The slippery slope argument you appear to be implying that the government will attempt to stop people protesting the government doesn’t really work when we had protests in the Summer, too.

I understand where you’re coming from, but I also know people are idiots. Yesterday was Black Friday, and while it was nowhere near as bad as I expected it to be at my work, there were still crowds and little in the way of social distancing, and people still half mask it which completely eliminates the point of wearing a mask for a disease that spreads through inhaling and exhaling particles. The fun thing is that wasn’t even the end of it as the same is extended, presumably to avoid huge crowds, so it’s potentially going to be an extended super-spreader event all over.

That’s one store in a relatively small city in one county in one state in the entire US. Interesting times are ahead.
