Black Friday tomorrow too.

I was initially worried about it, working in retail, but I recently got covid and recovered, so hopefully my body is still in “KILL THE COVID” mode and I’ll be cool.

Everyone else is fuuuuucked though.

Life Advice / Recommend me Bluetooth headphones
« on: November 26, 2020, 05:29:31 pm »
I recently upgraded my iPhone, now I have no headphone jack.

I will basically be using these headphones to listen to podcasts, so they don’t need to be spectacular, but I wear glasses so they need to not squash my ears too much.

Anyhow, I lack knowledge of what I should be looking for, do y’all have any recommendations for reliable, inexpensive Bluetooth headphones?

Edit for further things: preferably over-ear, and the chances of these ever leaving my house once I’ve got them are pretty much nil, so portability is no issue.

Libido is a weird thing, and it can be different for everyone, much like sexual attraction.

Is there any particular reason you’ve been thinking about/monitoring this?

BUT THOSE PEOPLE OVER THERE PUT THE CREAM ON THE SCONE BEFORE THE JAM SO THEY OBVIOUSLY CAN’T BE TRUSTED TO USE OUR RESOURCES PROPERLY, THE WEIRDOS.

And other such excuses.

Everyone won’t choose 11, because I didn’t.

Spectate

Actually, if you need/want moderator roles, I can do that. But with the same thing I PM’d.

Apparently my wife rationalized my snoring in her dream as observing some kind of scientific demonstration of how banshees work.

Are you remembering to cook it properly beforehand? It's not supposed to be eaten raw y'know.

I though shampoo was a "Just add water" sort of affair.

So is pasta and rice, but you should probably do more to it prior to consumption.

Well, assuming you want to enjoy the experience.

I stole a can of soda from a friend one time.

This may also answer the question vis-a-vis the contents of my fridge.

NQT ( I think, it may have been flabort) ran a game many years ago with a mechanic like that. You were assigned an alignment and you were then assigned some currency and could buy and sell various abilities in the shop.
That's right, the Choose-Your-Own-Mafia series.
flabort may have been the one that used an ability to continually inflate the price of something so they ended up with lots of currency.

I think they may have actually been my third mafia game on the forum actually, since I remember being very pleased at being third-party, but failing entirely because Tiruin said everybody had an ability that countered what I was doing, so I didn’t do it.

No, see, she was never part of the legal team in the first place to be fired.

Which is a fucking bizarre thing to say when you have her speak at a press conference on behalf of your legal team.

It never ceases to amaze how games can bring out the worst in people.

Though I do like keeping spare lungs around personally, just in case.

So...

Trump’s campaign asked for a partial recount of Wisconsin’s ballots, in Milwaukee and Dane County, which have the two most populous cities in the state in them, and skew heavily Democrat.

Trump’s observers appear to be deliberately delaying proceedings, in some instances by objecting to every single ballot.

I wonder if they’re trying to manufacture a narrative that the election officials don’t want them there when they get thrown out for being asshats, or that when the count eventually goes beyond the December 1 deadline, that the officials are trying to waste their money by taking forever to count ballots.

I always like it when people say “someone said x” without identifying that someone.

Also it’s a shadowy conspiracy but one of the people involved has telegraphed their position that strongly, as well as it being such a terrible national security problem that nobody did anything about it before it became a problem.

Much like these allegations of fraud that Trump made as to the reason why Clinton won the popular vote in 2016. He was so incensed by these issues that he did absolutely nothing about them. Maybe he was trying to lull the libs into doing it again so he could catch them at it?
