I firmly believe organized religion is one of the most disgusting things humans have come up with.

I was referring to the lead up to WWII with my facetiousness, specifically the policy of appeasement.

While I fear I may be missing the point of the comments, are there any good fascists?

4338
It's both.

Take for instance, "America is NUMBER ONE!"

what does that REALLY mean?  the implicit statement, is that America has all the best things in abundance, and all that translates into the greatest power to exert that kind of extortion internationally.

It is not, however, the only one. If a country requires something on an international market that another country is not willing to provide economically, they will probably look elsewhere.

4339
That’s not nationalism, that’s capitalism.

The only way to stop a bad guy with a fascism is a good guy with a fascism.

Or just let them give them everything they ask for and allow them to invade places in the hope they stop asking or invading oh look they haven’t stopped looks like we have to go to war for 6 years

A, ‘cause then we can draft ‘em into our army as a part of the integration process, and they’ll be delighted to invade retake their homeland!

Being rich is useful, just usually to the person making the appointment.

They also don’t have anywhere near as much physicality as they did (boxes, discs/cartridges, instruction manuals etc.) so that aspect is a bit cheaper.

I’ve used this elsewhere.

The common part of my handle is the 13 suffix though, and maybe not using a capital for the first letter.

They were Rescue Rangers, actually.

I thought Chip was the one with the hat and Dale was the one in the Hawaiian shirt.

A the first thing a strong leader needs to be able to do is feed his soldiers, their demands could endanger that.

Posting this for its uniqueness as a more-or-less-conservative-op-ed on the current situation.

https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/507984-for-the-left-its-not-just-a-presidential-election-its-a-total-takeover

It's so far into conspiracy theory territory, I don't know what even; but still interesting to read, if just to scratch my head and go "Is that what they really perceive?"

There’s a lot in there that made me audibly exclaim.

Highlights for me: the glossing over of fossil fuel subsidies when mentioning the MARXIST HORROR of renewable energy subsidies.

Suggesting that inheritance is wealth gained on merit.

Mentioning Nixon as an apparent conservative icon, despite his criminal activities in office.

Suggesting Trump is the only president to encourage the opposition party to cock block him at every opportunity, ignoring what the Republicans did to Obama.

There were otheres, but it’s early and I really don’t want to read it again.
