General Discussion / Re: Things that made you go "WTF?" today o_O
« on: July 15, 2020, 05:16:48 pm »
Had a slightly bizarre encounter with a customer today.
Was minding my own business, looking forlornly at boxes I had to organize, and they come over and ask
“Do you guys sell Sundrop?”
to which I kinda paused to get my tablet out of my pocket before starting to say I don’t know because I don’t know what it is before she continued:
“Sundrop in a bottle? Sundrop?”
because that narrows it down to probably being a liquid of some type, being bottled and all.
So I say, “I’m not sure, I’ll look it up on my tablet.”
“Sundrop? Sundrop in a bottle?”
“Is that like bottled water or something?” Because it’s an old tablet and I clicked the wrong thing. No response, so I click the right thing and look it up.
“Sundrop in a bottle?”
At which point I had found it, and kind of gesture to where it is (it’s a soda, of which we have a single aisle) and she decides instead to bugger off somewhere else.
Like, you know what it is, so maybe say what it is so I can at least point you in a general direction while typing it in in my thing on the way over there, and follow me when I say as much.

The cat in Alien.
If you left that aside you’d deserve the xenomorph, quite right.

I love being on my own!
But I am an extreme introvert and have a history of mental illness, so I’m probably an outlier.

She sounds quite unpleasant, from what you say. Is the prospect of loneliness worse than the actuality of how she makes you feel?

« on: July 12, 2020, 09:30:25 pm »Wisconsin’s 4 highest daily rises in positive cases have been the last 4 days.
Not as bad as elsewhere, but worrisome all the same.
It'll be fine.
Only 350 people there.
Only about a dozen wore masks according to WPR, and also there was the disclaimer that, essentially, if you got sick it was your own damn fault.

Just feed them the crims, until they get so numerous that the severity of crime that is sentenced with death by Furry is so low that crime is wiped out or humanity thieves its way to extinction.

Yeah if you change the rules two days beforehand, you make some efforts to not fuck over peoples’ rights, regardless of how few people are affected.

I think that’s a wtf in itself, that it got testy over miscommunication rather than people being arsey about eating habits.
