I bought myself Heat Signature.

I’m surprised my first character is not dead yet :o liberated two stations, one which was the result of crashing a ship into it, which doesn’t necessarily make much sense unless my job was to liberate everyone from their existence, but ah well, the mad dash to my pod when given 13 seconds to get there would have been more heart pounding had I not had a device that slowed time, even if I never used it.

Rollicking good fun so far.

It also depends how you quantify dumb. I know plenty of smart people who aren’t blessed with common sense.

My wife was chuckling away at something on Facebook.

Bad stock photos describing jobs.

This was my favourite:

So that is quite clearly a noose.

Like, I have next to no interest in motor sports, but... surely there are much, much easier knots to tie in order to loop around something to open a garage door?

Astigmatism is apparently the lens of the eye being curved differently in one direction, according to a quick google.

Simon. His cousin.

He's not as handsome

You did that initializing on purpose though didn't you

SBH is genuinely related to a published psychologist.

I sometimes think that I’m on the spectrum, ‘cause I am supremely introverted and don’t really like to be around people, but I think that has more to do with anxiety than anything else. Being around people, especially those I don’t know, is bloody exhausting.

Equally so, I have great distaste to changes in my routine, and don’t like surprises. Surprises are bad.

At least in Wisconsin the number of tests doesn’t differentiate between multiple tests given to a single person (or multiple positive tests from one person, either) so, similar to what Starver says, that makes the numbers go up.

I think they wanted to perform 11k/day, but have fallen short of that number recently, after getting something along the lines of 8 consecutive days of at least that a few weeks ago.

Highest has been just about 16k in one day, at the start of that 8 day run.

Getting hundreds of positives a day regardless, amounting to around 2-4% of tests. Not sure if the tests aren’t getting done because people aren’t asking for them (I do believe that was something that wasn’t able to happen starting a few weeks ago) or they’re running low on supply/processing ability.

Not really sure how the process of opening up is going. I recall a proposed three stage plan from the governor back in May when the Republicans were all “myeh you can’t extend the stay at home order myeh” with the expectation that cases had to be showing a steady downward trend for 2 weeks prior to moving into the next stage, but I haven’t heard much since then, and as I say, cases are steadily showing that 2-3%/hundreds per day increase.

I do 'maim'... a lot more often though.

I think you’ll find that’s illegal, sir.

Protests have been going on for nearly a month; if they were all rioters and looters, there would be nothing left.

Decided that I would do the latest Palace from start to finish in one in-game day instead of being sensible and backing out halfway through when all my guys ran out of spirit points.

Anyhow, this dungeon asks you to get five things, all of which require a boss fight, not particularly difficult boss fights, except the last one, which involved one of my fighters going down multiple times because they are quite useless, prolonging the blood hard fight.

Anyhow, I manage to get though that with everybody barely hanging on so  I can SURPRISE BOSS FIGHT BITCH.

Long ass fight as well. I had to get everyone recovered in the first round of combat, which didn’t really matter a great deal because they all got hammered again anyway.

I kill the enemies and the game’s like lol it’s not over guy. I have to recover everyone again in terms of health and soul points because why the heck not. This fight is much easier though,

Then I muddle my way through that one and the game is still like dude, this is a JRPG there’s more. Minor recoveries this time, but the fight is still challenging enough that I need to keep recovering during battle.

Anyway, I still managed to get through the entire thing in the first day I was able to in-game, sans final boss fight because you need to come out the dungeon for that.

I actually find helping customers to be a good use of my time, because it makes the time go so much faster.

Then again, I usually try to position myself to be most visible to customers when I have nothing else to do and have otherwise been bored out of my mind for an hour and have a couple of minutes to the end of my shift.

Though you do get the occasional... memorable one.

Like one dude who told me I should know where everything is in the 200,000 square foot store 3 months after I started working part-time, who was deeply upset I corrected myself after telling him something was not in the direction I initially told him it was. Obviously the better choice would be to let him walk to the other side of the store and not find what he was looking for.

Or when I hear “excuse me” and then hope I can get round the corner because I’m leaving but realize I don’t quite have enough speed to do it before the second, louder, more insistent “excuse me!” rings out, so I turn round to see a little old lady beckoning me over slowly with her finger, twice, as she turns and shouts at someone who has apparently gone too far to come back. I stayed standing where I was because fuck you lady, I’m a human being you don’t shout at me and then cheekily gesticulate for me to come to you because you can’t keep track of the people you’re shopping with.

Anyway, she asks for house numbers, bizarre considering she was in the pet section at the time. I take her and the other woman she was with over there and she’s like “I need [certain letters and numbers]” and I’m like, whatever man they’re all here. Then she’s like “what styles do they come in” and I can’t say “use your fucking eyes and look at them, maybe?” so I say “what you see here, ma’am” ‘cause I might be a cunt but I’m polite about it.

She looks at them and says to her other person “maybe we should get the black ones ‘cause they’ll show up better at night?” and again I can’t say “that is the most stupid thing I’ve heard for a long time” so I stay silent. Then she says “I can’t find the letters or numbers I’m looking for” so then I pick a package of them up and flip it over to read the back and say “this comes with [various letters and numbers, because why the fuck would they sell different letters and numbers in different packages idiot]” in the hope that maybe she’ll let me fucking leave and read the backs of things for the information she needs, because I sure as shit know nothing about these things off the top of my head.

Evidently she finds one she’s interested in and asks “how does this work do I peel it off and stick it on” and I read the back of the thing again and say “yes” and she’s all “oh I don’t want this one” and picks another one and says “how does this work do I peel it off and stick it on” and I look at the back of this one and say “yes, it’s made by the same company” and then she picks up another bag and I punch her in the face and leave ‘cause fuck this shit I’m going home. Or I tell her it’s the same as the other ones, something like that.

Then she’s like okay I don’t need your help anymore and I’m like you probably fucking do mate, but I’m not going to argue, which came out as “have a nice day” as I half jogged away.

*cough*

That may have gotten away from me.

My happy is watching Netflix. Also time is slowly ticking down to a week off from work and lots of video games.

Hey, man, we have to get people focused on the obvious terrorism of antifa, never mind they’re anti-fascist and only really show up when fascists are expected! The fascists need protection!

I am most amused by his assertion that John Bolton’s book is full of nonsense but also really important state secrets.

I appear to be just old enough to start having lower back pain and the capacity to throw it out during acts like, say, moving an air conditioning unit, or peering into the fridge.

This is pretty uncool, my dudes.

Just wait ‘til you hurt your back through the in incredibly physical act of sitting down in a slightly uncomfortable position for too long. Like, 15 minutes.

Have you never tried to throw something and had it slip out your hand? Seems like a reasonable occurrence t’me.

That’s part of the reason I don’t use grenades.
