You’re not going to get that with Trump. He’s only interested in rebranding current agreements so they have his signature on them.
If you think my dislike of Bernie means I'd prefer Trump to him, you're mistaken. Bernie voted in favour of the intervention in Kosovo!
I’m not suggesting that, I’m saying Trump is unwilling to put in any level of effort in order to actually get anything worth doing done, unless it involves threatening someone with not getting his money.

Thus, the things you want doing isn’t going to get done under Trump, and given the moderate side of the DNC is doing everything in their power to give him Joe “motherfucker abused his position to get his son a job in Ukraine!” Biden as an opponent, you’re going to be waiting ‘til at least 2024 to get it.

Oh. That was underwhelming.

He notes the gobbo, and listens before bursting into activity.

Oh my! Tell me about Gorohill Vercressen Pierre. Then tell me about what they discovered about the source of magic further in the forest. Is it the Seed? What was it the source of power for? Why did Gorohill build the tower? Gorohill mentioned some disturbances, what were they? What happened in the lightning room? What fool was badgering Gorohill, delaying completion of the tower?

Had a slightly bizarre encounter with an old man on my property. Dude pulled up as I was moving my wheelie bin so I could park my car, and then was walking up my driveway as I was parking.

He was all “are you [not hector]?”  And I’m all “nope, I’m hector.” And then he was like “[not hector’s Family name]?” And then I was like “nope.” ‘Cause I don’t know this man, I’m giving him nothing.

Apparently there’s a lawsuit against the former owners ‘cause they owe money. Presumably, he mentioned it being on the property, which is most worrisome. The slightly bizarre thing about it was he said he didn’t know the house was for sale, when it had been on the market for over 400 days when we expressed interest in it.

Asked some questions about how much we paid and if the house was in good repair, mentioned “we own the factory” and pointing over there, whatever that means.

I am anxious about this now. Didn’t ask him who he was or note down his license plate number, which is regretful.

According to this,” he taps the fancy journal, “There’s a shrine nearby dedicated to a forest deity. It also says the tower was more to attract adventurers than corrupt the local fauna into attacking the village that contracted us.

Anyway, the journal mentions something about a seed bothering the maker of the tower, who appears to either be a particularly powerful prestidigitator, or someone with a very large opinion of themselves. I suspect the seed may require further investigation, what with the whole “saving the village” business we should be getting on with.

I bought the most recent Call of Duty game, which is bizarre since I don’t really play FPS games.

What is more bizarre is I find myself really enjoying it :o

So many "Ted Talks". Why doesn't this Ted guy ever try shutting tf up?

Hey, Ted talks are very important. How else will stupid people get to sound smart in front of an audience?

You've not been paying any attention to politicians in like... thousands of years, have you?

Now with the robe in her possession, Linea's mind for a while now thinking about whether she should look for someone to transmute this robe, or just don the robe and pretend that she is a tyrant queen.

Linea gains the Ruby Robe.

Burt climbs the ladder to the top.

The party (whoever is willing and able to) starts climbing up the ladder, which goes through the ceiling, up, up, up. After climbing for 5 minutes or so it lends at the entrance of an open trapdoor into what looks like a study. There is a desk, a small bed and several shelves. The room appears to have been ransacked, with signs of struggle all over the place. Books have been toppled over and slashed, massive ink blots stain the walls and books. Pottery has been smashed and a couple of stools upended.

There are a few intact books in this room, one is on the desk (along with a loaf of elvish style longbread), bound shut with leather straps. The others are scattered near one of the windows, which for some strange reason are topically related; dealing with gardening, exotic plants and elementary nature magic.

At the end of the room is a glowing tile with runes etched around it, projecting beams of light up to the roof.

Doctor Doak will take the books on gardening, exotic plants and elementary nature magic, 'cause they sound interesting.

He'll also look through the other books for some interesting reads, starting with opening the one bound shut on the desk.

Maybe they’re scared of breaking you?

But yeah, broadening the definition of violence to include reasonable things does not make violence reasonable. Semantic hoops are no justification.

Illegitimate children are bastards, unmarried men are bachelors.

I guess it still fits the thread though.
The sword is the illegitimate child, because its father is not married.

I’d like to know how the man is making the weapon, but also I really don’t.
