Do you not have a grill on your cooker?

Nah mate my mum didn't come with one

Grill is a slang term for teeth, therefore your mother doesn't have teeth.

Alternatively,

I thought Scandinavian drinking songs were all, like,

Skol Skol Skol Skol
Skol Skol Skol Skol
Skol Skol Skol Skol

Ad infinitum.

Even then, you can make a tasty cheese toastie in a frying pan, should you be so inclined.

PPE: assuming his weird upside-down people use the same terminology as my Celtic brethren, cheese on toast is melted cheese between two slices of toast. Well... it can be melted cheese on one slice of toast, but if you do that, you have two, so it’s just like having a sandwich and then eating one slice of bread and then the other.

Unless he’s completely fucking bananas and only has one slice. Then he’s lost to us forever.

If he could walk to England from where he lives, I imagine the 3 grams would be the least of his worries. He’d be world famous!

I've just realized that spiderbots do NOT trigger my instinctual rage-state transformation regarding real arachnids.

Welcome to human society, robotic bug friends.

EDIT: In truth, I recognize that spiders are a valuable, essential, and beneficial part of our ecosystem. My fear of spiders is in fact a bonafide irrational phobia.

All phobias, by definition, are irrational.

Like phobophobia: the phobia of phobias. Though in reading more about it, it appears more to be an anxiety of encountering an extant phobia.

15k of what?

I mean, that’s only, like, three grams, so I’d hope it’s fookin’ valuable.

People are also entirely stupid and need to be handheld through the entire ordeal despite the instructions of how to operate the machine and/or fix whatever they’ve fucked up being displayed literally right in front of them, which requires another person to come along and quietly euthanize them correct their issue.

Also, people are stupid, so even if the person operating the self-service checkout isn’t entirely brain dead, the person who re-stocked the bags on them last may have forgotten to reset the scales, so it requires another person to come along and apologize for their colleague’s incompetence the machine being awkward.

Question: is causing a child to be born thus unethical?
Dad here: The answer from my perspective is both yes and no. Why? There are a lot more states in the world than suffering. Is it unethical to deny the creation of knowledge, music, poetry, art, engineering, and euphoria?
D’you know for suresies the creation will experience those things?

I know, right? My parents' kids were stupid as fuck.

I know at least one of your parents’ kids is not stupid as fuck!

NORMAL HUMANS don't think about giving the self-checkout machine at the grocery rights
Not the checkout machines, AIs. If we make a machine that can think for itself, it should have rights. If the machine has no thoughts, it can’t suffer

Wait, you want (actual) AI, so it can suffer? Hmm.
I don’t want AI to suffer. I mentioned creatures with thoughts had the chance of suffering, if they are given rights, the rights will prevent them from suffering. Creatures with thoughts deserve rights

I have thoughts and I suffer.

I think it would be unethical to make an AI anyway, and subject it to the suffering of existence.
