In my case, the cause is probably the antipsychotics that I take to sleep. I end up waking up at 4 or so, fully awake. That screws with my circadian rhythm. Really, the only reason why I'm asking is because it's depressing to wait 2-3 hours doing basically nothing before I can get the day started.

Good news! Depression will make sure you don't wake up before your alarm goes off. Or after.

You might consider a puff or two of pot about half hour (it relaxes you, but also increases blood pressure. And too much can mess with your brain.) before bed to relax instead of drinking. It's less unhealthy, anyway.

Struggling to see how it’s less unhealthy to be inhaling a burning herb, usually involving inhaling a stupendously addictive substance alongside, not to mention the likely severe punitive concerns should they be caught with it, meaning they likely also can’t be certain of its provenance and/or the particular strain they might be receiving, than it is to have a drink of alcohol, which wouldn’t really be useful anyway since it only helps you get to sleep, not stay asleep, and again, depending on locale, could come with punitive concerns. /excessive run on

Baking the herb into something would be a bit safer, but you would have to be aware that the high doesn’t hit you ‘til a while later, and the punitive concerns are still extant. You also need to know how to bake.

Apparently, you're supposed to use that time for "constructive purposes" like exercising or doing household chores or something.

Like my meth-head former neighbors? Just vacuuming away for an hour or so every day at 3 am. (I was semi-willing to put up with that, but when their dozen loads of laundry per day started backing up the wastewater so it was running down the wall in my living room, it became A Thing.)

They can do something quiet :p

People are stupid.

There is snow on the roads, probably because it is snowing.

This obviously means it is sensible, while driving on said snow-covered roads, to follow behind someone at a distance that under perfect conditions the person in front would be openly wondering why the fuck you’re so close to them.

This is especially sensible after you witness the person in front of you skid round a roundabout, bounce off the kerb and skid the other way (thank fuck for that kerb else I’d be in a ditch waiting for a tow truck right now. Also, I am 20mph skid-master) in part because you were following so fucking close behind them, and proceed to do so for the next half-hour, just so you could go to the fucking pharmacy.

I hope it’s terminal, cunt.

The captain looks nonplussed. He clicks on the radio, speaking calmly.

While I appreciate you gentleman are in a perilous situation, there is one of him and hundreds of you. Give the best marksmen a gun, put the best spotters in the crows nest, set the rest around the railings of the ships, and SHOOT THE FUCKING DOLPHIN!

Addressing the men in the boats: “That goes for you, too! The boat that gets the kill will want for little when we’re done!

Spread out but stay within shooting range of each other; you saw what it did to the Phoenix, let’s make sure the same doesn’t happen to you, yes?

Edgar turns to Henry, armed with binoculars.

You look for the bastard, I’ll shoot it.

((Smile you son of a- :p))

I know this. I think you give too much credit to Donny boy, though.

I don't think he's trying to create more concentration camps. On the one hand it presents the look he's taking a hard-line on immigration, keeping them people what cross that imaginary line locked up like the criminals they are (whether or not they have the documents to prove otherwise) but on the other hand... well, concentration camps.

No, he's presenting barriers to people who don't have money to come into America, 'cause people without money are obviously only coming here to live off the teat of government welfare (however lacking it is) and aren't willing to work to support themselves and/or their family. What this does is make it so only people with money can start on the road to become citizens.

I would like to have the rhetorical ability to spin the visual of Trump wanting to attract people like Trump, but it's late and I'm ill. In essence, he believes the quality of any given individual is positively correlated with the size of their bank account. Or whether they've said anything nice about him lately, but that's may only apply to prominent employees or foreign dictators.

If Trump wanted to stop illegal immigration, I think he would be spending money on the things you suggest, rather than a big, beautiful, and entirely redundant wall.

At least y’all don’t have to deal with the USCIS.
I apologise that you have to deal with one of the worst bureacracies ever created.

Did I mention that Trump wants to up the fees?

I had best apply for citizenship prior to that then.

Though having to repeat in essence the same process for the third time irks me, and fills me with foreboding.
Definitely do so - fee will go up by $500 dollars.
That’ll reduce illegal immigration for suresies.
