Software updates are done for a lot of reasons including patching exploits and sometimes fairly major cryptological breaks that never really get talked about to the public for security. Windows updates might be incredibly annoying, but the security angle is actually real.
lmao what're they gonna do, steal the broke off me?
Could make you more broke if you like :p implicate you in a crime or something, too.

We’re all viewing this situation with 20/20 hindsight. I understand the position she placed herself in, and think it was her training that was a significant factor in what happened.

She was coming off a long shift, and, to put it in context I use, probably just wanted to sit down. She is in the mindset she was at her apartment. That being the starting position in her mind, her training kicked in, and instead of noticing the clues that would have lead her to realize she was mistaken, this lead her to believe an intruder was in her home. I think you would kind of have to assume in that situation said intruder was armed, however wrong we know she was.

Police training is all kinds of fucked up if it goes from possible-intruder-is-man-eating-ice-cream-on-sofa to killing said person.

I have heard the phrase “it’s better to be judged by 12 than carried by 4” in reference to how police train cadets, and I don’t know how true that is, but even if it’s half-true there is something horribly, horribly wrong.

I don’t believe it’s a country singer, it is the poster for a movie called Banio.

(I should probably amend my action a bit anyway, since it is technically incomplete...

I’ll probably forget though heh

But yeah, don’t worry about it. It’s been fun so far, but if you have other stuff to do you have other stuff to do)

Well, in order to pirate something, some type of theft has to occur, and theft generally involves taking something someone was trying to sell for more than zero pennies.

He tweeted it.

He’s just pushing the narrative the Republicans are trying to push that the intelligence community changed that whistleblowers were required to provide first-hand information, which has never been part of the rules.

It is against the rules to threaten action against a whistleblower, though.

Oh my god this is so stupid.

The impeachment will go nowhere because the Republicans Control the Senste (sure, this shit needs investigation, but you can do that without starting the process which will, if you’ll excuse the pun, end at a big wall) and there is evidence in the transcript that the White House release that he urged a foreign country to investigate a political rival, regardless of whether or not he was withholding military aid to get them to do it.

Why is politics so stupid.

PPE: in which definition is the whistleblower engaged? ‘cause I don’t see it

I'd make the same argument about tax exemption for religious organizations. At least they fit the definition of "charitable organization" though more readily than the NRA does.
Religions don't need tax exemption. Religions are known to be stories. I shouldn't get a tax exemption for HanselGretelism.
You get a tax exemption for being non-profit, though.

Even if you don’t necessarily, you know, spend beyond your expenses on anything.

You cawards, cawing in before avian tyranny, will be the first ones against a wall

Well, it’s no wonder we prefer the birds with an attitude like that. I’d prefer a murder of crows to the murder you tout!

Caward.
