Edgar frowns at the radio, putting an edge into his voice.
“Who taught you how to give a status report? Details, man! It does me no good to know they have a full presence, I want to know what you can see and how many whats there are! Report back as soon as possible, else I’ll keelhaul you so quick you could make bags from your chunks! I’ll even do it the long way if I have to! Get those lookouts counting! Make sure the anti-air gunners keep their eyes on those helicopters too, they’re the biggest problem for you right now. One more thing! Look for a commander of some sort. One of the people we’re looking for is quite the little weasel, it wouldn’t surprise me if he were around the leader of these reprobates... now get to it, double time!”
He clicks off the radio. Discipline was easy enough, just scare the crew into thinking what his captain could do was worse than the enemy. It meant he had to be a little more generous with the booty, but it was better than having a crew of incompetents.
While waiting for his more detailed report, he clicks his fingers and points at one of the crew nearby.
“You there! Find me a map of the harbour. Doesn’t have to be detailed, just enough to see streets leading back to the docks, and the buildings around it.”
Once the crewman on the ship has reported back, and the crewman on land has hopefully found a map, try to get in touch with the army, while attempting to mislead them into thinking I’m still on the ship:
“I see you’ve brought me some new toys to blow up. I appreciate the gesture, but I’m not particularly interested in playing with you right now. There are people I’m looking for, see, and I’d much rather deal with them and go on my merry way than bother you any longer. The people I’m looking for are:” Give a description of the Wiki-Warriors and their allies “Do any of them sound familiar? If so, feel free to shoot them. If you’re not interested in doing the deed yourself, tie them up and send them over to my fleet, I’m more than happy to do you a favour here. Once they’re dead or in my possession over here, I’ll bugger off.”
While this is being dealt with, the land crew will make their way toward the docks, continuing their looting for useful materials, but with a less pyromaniac mindset. I’ll use Revisionist to line the streets leading away from the harbour/docks with anti-vehicle mines, and use the map to order the crew to erect flaming barricade on surrounding streets in order to funnel enemy personnel toward the best-placed buildings to use as ambush spots, which we will attempt to fortify. We will also have laid anti-personnel traps along these streets out of the various explosives and materials we’ve got our hands on in our escapades, though keep enough on hand to use ourselves. Also mark on the map what’s on fire, lest we accidentally trap ourselves.
((Now watch me roll a series of 1s to ruin my plans!))
