You’re not going to do yourself (or anyone else) any good with empty batteries. Recharge and that.

The Eskimos (allegedly) say sleep is food, so rest. Enjoy yourself being foreign tomorrow.

The arctic air is brutal. Which is weird cuz the water is fine. Like, you can jump into the ocean to avoid freezing to death?
Yes, you can do that in certain situations. I don't know the science behind it, but in arctic regions the air is usually colder than the water. The water is still freezing of course, but noticeably less so.

Water is presumably absorbing the energy from the sun, while the air is a poor conductor of heat. This is why your eyes don’t cook when you open the oven and get hit by the air being several hundred degrees worth of your chosen temperature measurement.

Everything is arbitrary if you think about it.

Uh, the original, I believe - from 1982.
Didn't realise there was a remake, but now you mention it I may have read something about that somewhere.

I think the original was from the ’50s. But yeah, that movie is really good. I unfortunately saw it when I was too young to appreciate anything other than the “I know you guys have been through a lot but I don’t want to spend the rest of this Winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH!” line, which is sad because as a psychological horror it is pretty damn good.

The remake I think is set in the Swedish Norwegian camp in the movie,, and I’m intrigued but not actually willing to spend pennies on acquiring, ‘cause I’m a skinflint.

Also, drugs are bad, mm’kay? All of them. Cannabis, caffeine, paracetamol, penicillin. Just don’t do any of them.

That includes the ones your own body makes. Y’all are filthy junkies. Even if I am amused by the Basqueman’s attempts to educate dragdeler when dragdeler doesn’t really want to engage.

I’ve also noticed I like referring to people by where they come from. Is that weird? I think it’s weird. Evidently I’m worried someone will think I’m racist or something.

+1 for rope.

Also, spit in the water rations.
Why spit in the rations!
I overheard the discussion of what someone wanted to do with me when I was really sick :p

Friggin' weak-ass spider can't handle their drugs.

Edit: I'm finally watching The Thing. It's bloody good.

The original, John Carpenter’s, or the remake/prequel of John Carpenter’s?

At least it offers the chance to use it.

We bought the snake oil, and the game is just passive-aggressively ignoring how utterly stupid that was to do by not offering an opportunity to use it.

Like, how was I the only to get cholera?

Did y’all just make me drink the stagnant pond water? “All that green stuff on the surface just means it’s full of nutrients! Like soil!”
