Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor. Anti-depressant, that tries to elevate the levels of serotonin in yer brain.

Unfortunately there are serotonin receptors in yer brain, central nervous system, and yer gut, so the side effects can be unpleasant and wide ranging, but much better than MAOIs, which if I recall correctly stands for MonoAmine Oxidose Inhibitor, ‘cause I’m too lazy to check.

What do you mean one of the unlucky people? Have you never read the little pamphlet you get in it? It usually lists the proportion of folk who get various side-effects, from most to least common.

I do hope it goes away though; I refused to take medication after a few years on them ‘cause I’d rather feel deep loathing for myself than deal with the side-effects.

How long do they think recovery from a neutering takes?

Why do they even have a pet if they don’t want the hassle of looking after it?

You know what's fun? Having anxiety and being pressured into doing things that make you anxious.

An opportunity to learn how to deal with the anxiety, no?

I get you though, it’s hard to stop that ball rolling once it starts.

There was a thunderstorm earlier. First noticed it when there was a big flash of lightning. Cool, I thought.

Literally 10 seconds later the thunder went FUCKINGKABOOM which legitimately made me frightened every time I saw another flash of lightning because I didn’t know if it would be normal crappy groany thunder or the hoofbeats of the Four Horsemen ushering in Armageddon.

((Dude you’re writing stuff for however many different players doing a multitude of different things in an effort to murderize the other players while doing whatever it is you do in your own, non-Wiki-Warrior existence, I don’t think I’m alone in saying don’t worry too much about missing anything :p it should really be up to everyone to remind you if you miss something.

Consequently I’m alright with no automatic healing or anything. I have no idea what sort of ideas you have about healing mechanics or the like, so it’s cool to keep doing whatever you were intending.))

((I had a crewman tending the wound in my right hand during Highjinks, are they just not very good medics or did you forget? :p))

Edgar watches the king slump, finishing the remainder of his mug as he mutters to himself.

No quarter will be asked...

“... no quarter shall be given.” Finishes Henry, receiving an appreciative glance from his captain.

I’m glad you pay attention, Henry.” He says, pushing himself up from the table and walking round it to stand next to his unconscious quarry. He unholsters his weapon and carefully shoots the king in the head in an effort to avoid any splatter.

Find a crewman you dislike, tell him to seal his majesty in the barrel of rum and throw it overboard. Perhaps he’ll learn to hold his drink in the afterlife. Also, we had some anti-air launchers somewhere, make that...” he gestures to the blackhawk, “... go away, preferably into the sea.

Edgar sniffs and looks out thoughtfully toward the shore. Then he shakes his head.

This surgical approach is rather boring. Sacking ports is fun and all, but when I arrived here, I felt a strong urge to kill things, so let’s kill everything. Turn the city to rubble, then shoot the rubble until it’s dust. In fact, better idea! Get as many boys together as you can find, get them weapons. Heck, the boys that took the Elridge, they should still have all that assault gear, send them ashore, they can all shoot the place up while we tear the city down from here. They don’t engage anyone they don’t have to, just burn as many of the buildings down as possible. Skeleton crew on the ships. Good, old-fashioned piratical chaos. They had their chance to give us what we wanted, now it’s time to burn the town down.

Move the Capella behind us, we can use it as a medical ship. Keep some guns trained on the shore, in case our boys have some casualties and can’t deal with them via field surgery and need to get to the medical ship.

Use Revisionist to create some incediary grenades for everyone going ashore, and incediary ammunition for the guns on the Phoenix and Elridge. Almelo wakes up fo fire!

Just means you all have to pun-y up for this pun stream.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it pun.

I think the cat is thinking more along the lines of “why isn’t it dead yet, what can I do to make it more dead bite bite Nyah claws” but it’s tiny ineffective pointy ends are incapable of lethality at this time.

My optimism about humans seems to have dissipated. I used to think that most people were actually decent, if misled a lot of the time. Given the rise of... spite politics, I guess, I'm beginning to think that a not-insignificant number of people are straight up malicious.

Politics is not a good barometer. In that arena, it’s ideas which are wholly unsuited to be together fighting for superiority in a ring that is ever-moving, usually as a result of people trying to shift things to advantage themselves.

You could, you’d just have to remove your current fleshy arm and be prepared to pay a lot of money for the robot arm, which probably wouldn’t be that great anyway.

Or, you know, we could actually enforce the existing antitrust laws...
Wait...there are anti trust laws not getting enforced? Wow, so much for law enforcement, they are supposed to enforce all laws, not just the laws that happen to not hinter companies.

There are lots of laws that selectively do not apply to people with money. Corporations have lots of money.
So the idea of the law applying to all is dead. Liberty is dead, and it’s probably been dead for a while. A question that’s been on my mind is whether we’re due for another r3volution, though it’s dangerous to discuss

I mean

If someone was going to bust down our doors for the things we say here, it would have happened a very long time ago. But yes, it is frustrating when wealthy folks get a free pass out of legal consequences.

Affluenza ftw, man.

3 people are randomly selected from the winning team to receive the top game on their wish list, 2 from second place, 1 from third place.
