These are probably the kind of people who think that Jesus was white.

The real travesty is having a Scottish and Welsh actor act like they’re English. Totes.

I’m a Brexiteer, get me out of here.

5463
Actually, no. I don’t have the patience for mafia anymore, I’ll stick to watching.

I measured my calories yesterday, eating a typical amount for myself and not skipping anything. The total came out to 2800, probably more in actuality. Holy shit, no wonder I've been ballooning. Cutting it out and getting control back is going to be difficult.

Heh. I'm right there with you friend. I gotta cut back hard but I just love eating too much.

My cheese rolls are dry.

Lunch for the next two days is going to be unpleasant.

...Homemade cheese rolls? Would you be willing to share a recipe?

I suspect you mean something other than what I mean, as it’s basically a cheese sandwich on a bun instead of slices of bread.

Which I put in the fridge uncovered, ‘cause I threw out the bag they came in :(

In other news, the next British PM will be Boris Johnson - even though he complained about Gordon Brown being installed as PM in ‘07 sans election - or Jeremy Hunt - who doesn’t seem to think Scotland exists - as voted for by about 0.26% of the country.

A small sample (892) of those believe that Brexit should happen even if it results in Scotland leaving the UK, or NI leaving the UK, or significant economic damage to the UK, or the end of the Tory party itself... but not if it meant Jeremy Corbyn being PM.

Chances are if he’s being sent to cram school, his parents are already The Man.

I second dragdeler’s thoughts though. Free childcare is quite the incentive.

((alcohol has an analgesic effect, btw ;D))

Edgar frowns slightly, wiping his mouth with his sleeve.

"Not strong enough, apparently. I really must insist we end this soon," he gestures toward the shore, "there's a war on, you know."

He points at a crewman nearby.

"You there! Two more mugs, we go double time."

He turns back to the king.

"As before, just two drinks per round. You are free to find another to help you, should you so desire. You're looking a bit peaky, I imagine that will affect your..." he waves vaguely toward the floating mugs, head tilted quizzically to the side.

Continue as before, just twice as much.

Everyone’s as reliable a witness as you are. Elizabeth Loftis has done much research into this, eyewitness accounts are generally very poor.

In which case I guess we'll have to deliver on the referendum in the only way remaining - No Deal.

It will be interesting to see how many hard lines are blurred as that becomes more likely.

As for the NI/ROI border, it's really struck me as something of a non-issue. And I live near it.

You're not a dissident Republican getting upset about the British shitting things up again, though.

This is getting to be somewhat ridiculous.

Edgar follows the missile as he watches it fall into the sea, then raises an eyebrow at the king, enjoying his predicament.

As I said, not for the faint of heart. I assume I won’t be breaking any of your conditions by defending my fleet?

Assuming affirmative:

Captain Masters turns to the crew, still seated.

What are you all standing about for? Shoot back! There were three shots, I’m sure you can figure out where it came from!

Continue Highjinks.

Assuming negative:

Edgar shrugs. Not the first time he’s drank his way through a fight.

I think we had best hurry then. I would much rather my vessels remain sea-worthy when I send you to Davy Jones.

Continue Highjinks quickly.

Britain is taking the tack that it was the Iranians ‘cause nobody else in the region has the resources to do it.

I was somewhat confused over how the Iranians removing unexploded ordinance from a vessel is solid proof they did it. Surely the Japanese would’ve been all “hey, that unexploded ordinance, could you get it off please?” ‘cause carrying unexploded ordinance for thousands of miles is probably a Bad Idea.

I think Trump is just trying the age-old technique of starting a war so he looks good and strong for an election.

I guess it depends where you live.

Paying $500 and a bit for a two-bedroom apartment in a small town, from which I won’t receive my security deposit back because cars are destructive little creatures.

I think I was paying £525 six years ago to live in the middle of a major city, in a tiny apartment barely big enough for two people.

I'm terrible at maths. I'm not stupid, I just haven't done it since GCSE level (15/16 yrs old), and even then I wasn't particularly good at it. Philosophy and history were more my style.
So I'm applying for a job with the civil service at Executive Officer level and there's a Numerical Reasoning test. This is the first real maths I've touched since GCSEs, so I decide to grit my teeth and get on with it. True to my expectations it hurts my head, but I manage to answer everything.

I did better than 79% of people who had taken the test. This is a blanket test used for all Executive level applications. And I, somehow, did better than 79% of them.

I'm scared. The world is crazy.

Maths is unfortunately where they try to get logic involved. The whole “you have 12 apples, your friend 7 apples. How many apples do you need to give your friend so they have the same number of apples as you?” nonsense, which doesn’t really work when you can say “I can eat five apples” and it be a correct response, you’re just doing the wrong maths.

People don’t seem to be good at logic.

What are you applying to do, if you don’t mind me asking?
