Couple months back, building maintenance dude replaced the fill valve in the toilet, ‘cause it was leaking. Flush is subsequently very poor, needing to be held down basically until the water is gone lest it don’t actually flush, and I then have to plunge the toilet every day.

About a month or so ago, I came home from work to find the maintenance guy and some other dude unloading three toilets from a truck, and taking them upstairs.

End of last week I receive a note under my door (apparently the exclusive means through which my building manager likes to communicate) informing me that they will be testing the smoke detector and checking the windows for fogging or some such, as preventive maintenance. This note also informs me the check will begin on Monday at 9am, and will happen between then and today. It doesn’t take 3 days to check if 20-odd smoke detectors are working, I thinks.

I return home from work yesterday to find what I assume are the old toilets that were replaced, in the foyer of the building. Most welcoming.

I return home from work today to find the same, and also bits of cardboard and a shop-vac outside my apartment door. Enter to find people working in the bathroom. Evidently they replaced the toilet, the showerhead, and added some really stupid aerator thing or whatever to the bottom of the sink faucet, one of these things that is stupidly high pressure and splits the stream into like 8 bits in a circle which makes it very difficult to actually wash your hands, while simultaneously spraying water everywhere in the vicinity.

Folks explain what they have done (except the sink faucet thing, I got to discover that myself) and how the new toilet differed from the old one. I overhear one of them ask the other about the smoke detector, which they assume is hardwired and presumably wasn’t tested prior to my arrival. They then ask if I’ve seen fogging over Winter, to which I say “I don’t think so” because it’s not exactly been anywhere near theist of things I need to give a shit about, and I really just want them to go away.

I am thus left to feel maintenance didn’t do what I was told they were going to do, and performed three tasks that I’m aware of that I was in no way shape or form prepared for them to do, particularly when the only thing that wasn’t working was something that was their fault in the first place, but otherwise bearable to live with.

Toilet is slightly higher than the old one and has an elongated bowl rather than round. I pooped in it and was underwhelmed. Seat digs into my thighs and is consequently uncomfortable. The flush is real good though, makes everything disappear quickly. Much wow. Will check out the shower tomorrow.

TL;DR my building manager is not very good fucking woeful at communicating and miscellaneous first world problems.

roseheart: you’re not trying, that’s my problem with you. You’re uninformed becausee you’re not doing anything. The questions I was asking you earlier wasn’t because I was wanting to put you on trial, it was because you’re new and i want you think about these things. The very minimum you should be doing is reading the game and forming reads, which you obviously haven’t done because you would’ve noticed dolores mentioned who was in your QT before I did.

It doesn’t matter if you can’t read clues, but if you don’t read the game you’re not going to pick up anything. I hate it when players rely on the night game to get anything done because then they neglect the meat of the game, during the day. Arguments are formed, you can examine relationships between players (when you’re voting someone, you’re doing it to invite scrutiny on yourself, it’s bloody brilliant mate) and you can maneuver people into places they may not want to be with lines of inquiry.

This is why when you say “I had them in my QT because I did” it stifles your day game because you’re not analyzing your own play, and it doesn’t allow me to figure out your logic behind it, particularly when I feel pretty confident there’s at least one scum among them.

 Just because you’re confirmed town doesn’t mean you can back off on the pedal. You can still be an impediment to your wincon by worrying about the night game instead of what you can do now to find scum now.

Fallacy of Urist, I’m getting tired of the silence. You like gambits and you like the night game, figure out who else I should be voting for, please.

You’re doing what you were doing on D1, chatting about how you’re going to utilize the day but not actually doing anything with it. That was pretty much why you got lynched.

Do you think everyone in your quick topic is town? Why did you choose all of them? If they are all town, who do you think is scum? You were voting Nirur at the end of the day, but you had him in your quick topic, why?

It’s in the town’s interest that you push on people. I asked who you suspect and you’re all *shrug* so re-read day one, and consider other player’s motives. You are confirmed town, I’d really like to not waste that.

Use Revisionist to change some of my crew’s swords to rifles, and have them take shots at the defenders of the Elridge, allowing our men to advance on them and secure the outside deck of the ship.

Once we have secured the perimeter, split my crew into small teams. Use Revisionist again to create some flash bangs and stun grenades and hand them out to the teams, as well as a shotgun for each team. They are ordered to methodically work their way through the interior, first using the grenades and then mopping up the survivors with the shotguns and other weaponry.

If we win, take stock of what’s on the ship. Radio the authorities in the town and inform them I have no interest in anything other than the destruction of the other Wiki-Warriors, and thus demand they are brought out to shore to be killed.
