Edited my action to account for the power necessary to actually get through the barrier around Akahet. How much is the power necessary to get through the barrier?

So... the Art of the Deal is throwing a tantrum for a month then giving up?

I guess we'll have an interesting three weeks with the CR, then. Perhaps he'll use the tried and tested stick-your-fingers-in-your-ears-while-shouting-LALALAICAN'THEARYOULALALA technique.

one county with max baronies
Y tho?
You can pop your steward on your capital county and get the tax benefits of hitting 5 castles instead of 1 or 2. Also the aforementioned doomstack you can get in your capital county, plus, again aforementioned, the ease with which you can move around your primary levies, given they're pretty much already together.

I generally do what ZG does: max out the castles in the capital county, then focus on the counties in the capital duchy. Also, setting the crown focus on your capital county when it's got holdings in all the available slots appears to give a chance of an event to pay a lot of pennies to open another slot, allowing you to build even more castles. After I have all the castles, I will then focus on retinues, regretfully, since I'm not a huge fan of retinues, since they just sit around doing nothing a lot of the time while eating your money/prestige.

5 castles gives you, like, 15k guys depending on your martial and tech anyways.

I heard that some people don't use Darkling /joke
Filthy casuals.
Well, Darkling is the default for the upperboards, whereas the... better one is the default for the lowerboards.

Listen, mate, last person I knew who had that life goal was a self-righteous twat who cheated on his long-term girlfriend basically every time she stepped out the door, practiced "courtesy puking", frequently drove himself home from parties with a BAC value of "DEAD", and got kicked off of Notre Dame campus for being drunk and buzzed on cocaine all the damn time.

Also very much a devout catholic, and didn't see the conflict of interest there because "well, it's hard to follow all the rules all the time".

Don't stoop to Juggernaut's level. He was a cunt.

I used to work with someone like that. Went out every weekend with his mates in an effort to get laid (‘cause it’s a numbers game, apparently?) while getting absolutely smashed, singing the praises of one of his closest friends who cheated on his long-term gf during these escapades, and then sheepishly told me that he one time did something really romantic for an ex of his, but that I was to keep it secret because he’d lose man points, whatever the fuck they are.

Though I guess the start of their relationship was apparently when they went to the STI clinic together to get checked out and show each other they were clean, or some shit.

Claimed to be a strong Catholic, and that all Protestants were essentially Satan.

Quite the guy.

Oh oh, I almost forgot that he appeared in a tabloid newspaper when he had sex with a girl in a children’s play park in broad daylight.

But coffee is also an acquired taste. Moreso than tea, I would say.

Right, which is why you drink it either as a stimulant or to seem more masculine than tea drinkers.

I mean there’s the secret third option, applicable to both tea and coffee drinkers, but the idea that consumers of either actually enjoy them when they put either in their mouths is laughable, I say, if not farcical!

I've tasted grass, it's not quite that bad, but it definitely tastes like some kind of plant people should not be ingesting.  How do people like this stuff?

You don't drink tea for the taste. You drink it so you can feel more sophisticated than coffee drinkers.

This is what is known as an "acquired taste": the taste isn't as important as advertising that you've acquired it.

But coffee is also an acquired taste. Moreso than tea, I would say.

Quote
Name: Hectorclese the Stout
God level: Minor
Power: 8 - probably
Sphere: Victory and Feasting
Description: The Heartiest of Hearty Boys, the pinnacle of what they can be; big and strong, he's always on the lookout for something to eat. He walks among mortals with a dim glow around him, a clear sign of his deification.
Notes: Smarting over the loss of some Heart Boys in the Food Invasion
80 war beasts and 40 Hearty Boys

Hectorclese scratches his head and grimaces, talking quietly to himself.

Fuckin’ miles from anywhere, probably not a good thing... long journey back too, need something to do on the way...

Carefully pilot the NeoKitchen onto the chaos fragment, preferably as far from any chaos beings populating it. Set up some defenses around the NeoKitchen for the rest of the plan.

Tether the NeoKitchen to the Chaos fragment, and then carefully set the NeoKitchen/Chaos fragment hybrid on a course toward Akahet, the mortal world, ‘cause victory is no fun if nobody actually witnesses it.

When this is done, send out some raiding parties over the course of the decade for some fun times for my Hearty Boys. Feast on the corpses of the fallen Chaos beings, commemorate any fallen Hearty Boys with feasts and massive, spectacular funeral pyres.

Once we arrive at the destination... I guess crash it onto Akahet because I want to make an entrance. In addition to the lower necessary to get myself and the NeoKitchen hybrid through the barrier, dedicate 1 power to this, ‘cause rolling a 2 seems less fatal than rolling a 1.

Whoop like Slim Pickens in Dr. Strangelove.

Oh hello beginnings of depressive episode, it’s been a while. Here was me hoping I could go a whole month without seeing you, and all because of really stupid things I should’ve grown out of half a lifetime ago.

yay \o/

It’s about haggis, man, not booze.

And no, since I live in America and they don’t think lungs are edible.
