Mafia / Re: A Mischief of Birbs: Day 1 - Scatterbrains in the Trees (6/6)

Given the day is 24 hours, it’s probably best to spit it out now. I, for one, have maybe three or four hours a day to dedicate solely to mafia, but that’s by foregoing other fun things, which I’d rather not have to do, and given how frequently slips turn into “slips”, I’d rather we sort it now and move away from critical analysis of a single post.

Well, the piece of information we’re missing is what else the scum can do in the night and how that works. So yeah, it could be scum!Imp trying to deceive the town into doing something that will actively hamper town, but it could just as easily be a mistake in reading the PM.

I was going to say what I thought of Tric’s interjection, but I’m not huge on using things out with the game to draw conclusions, but nothings stopping anyone else doing it.

A tracking circle still "works" in the sense that it can still be game-breaking
Mind chewing it up and spitting it out in a few brief sentences?
Infinite stalemate. Unless the scum have a means to beat tracking in the night or have to kill, there’s no reason for them to do anything other than track, and if nobody is being eliminated in the day… kafkaesque horror ensues.

*makes a noise like a deflating balloon*

If the next thing we come up with after trying to solve the game mechanically on D1 is an everyone wins scenario, I am leaving, and I will take the shinies with me.

As long as that playstyle isn’t “abrasive asshat” and is passingly helpful, you’ll be alright.

Probably a more balanced source than a QAnon conspiracist, a proponent of the Great Replacement theory, and someone who endorses people who praise Hitler.

I had dreams like that when I was anxious about something. One time a little pee came out, which woke me up immediately.

Er fuggit, maybe if a game is running FoU will take the time to polish real hard.

684
It’s clearly decorative tapioca.

685
Take yer time

686
plz kill me on or before Day 1 tyvm

Just have that as your role. The role that kills Jim on D1.

687
I second taking your time. Better to polish it than rush it.

688
Yeah, I took a bit of a vacation because I was kind of a shitty person, so if you notice me doing that again, please let me know so I can, ya know, fix that.

Yeah mafia can bring out the worst in people sometimes, which is usually why, unless the setup is interesting, I tend to take long breaks between games, ‘cause I don’t like myself sometimes when looking back at my behaviour in the games.

General Discussion / Re: Israel-Gaza/Palestine war thread

Addressing your argument would mean accepting its premise, which is patently ridiculous.

Quote
Technicalities of whether Gaza is a country are secondary

Do you ever get tired of moving the goalposts?

Quote
the nature of the war is equivalent to a war between countries.

As has every war that’s ever been waged in the history of the world. That doesn’t make your argument any less wrong.

Israel doesn’t recognize Palestine, that’s… basic. In their eyes Gaza isn’t independent, no matter how much you strain philosophy or rhetoric, they aren’t fighting to remove Gazan independence because they don’t accept it as a possibility.
