*sigh* what's the point in asking for opinions and then doing what you were going to do before you get any replies.

I mean we're in MyLo and we've got one of the claimed TP's asking someone to kill me, for the third time, and nobody bats an eyelid. He's been interacting with me solid for 2 days and doesn't have a definite read, he's been interacting with BHK for 3 days and 2 whole nights and doesn't have a definite read, RGU has been one of the most active town players and doesn't have a definite read. This in addition to being party to a quickhammer on quinnr yesterday when quinnr said he was going to claim stuff which, now we know his role, would be him revealing as Town, on top of everything I pointed out yesterday.

If things are right as they are, 2 thirds are BHK and FoU, 2 town are me and RGU, 2 scum are Tiruin and IcyTea.

Bad though, 'cause Tiruin and IcyTea have been quiet and BHK/FoU are scummy.

Also, technically you can kind of loophole it by carrying a tool of some sort, since it fills an "honorable" use. Bouncers and doormen (almost wrote doorknobs) seem to go for those nice heavy MagLite flashlights for their improvised weapons. So, wooden self-defense pocket sticks or some pepperspray? Illegal. Steel wrench? Yeah, sure.
(note: As with most laws here, there's a lot of interpretation being done by the legal system... If you're out on the town with a hammer in your pocket, nobody's going to let you off because it "serves a purpose". Probably).

Which is a moot point if you are not catholic. And according to the wiki 71.5% Norwegians are Lutheran.

The worst part about weapon restricting laws is, that they tend to be contraproductive.
In order for such law to be effective either:
A) The weapon being restricted has to be difficult to obtain illegaly.
or
B) The sentence for owning it has to be worse than the sentence for crimes commonly commited with its use.

If neither is true, then people intending to commit crimes have no reason not to get it. If they get caught with it, it will not be much worse than getting caught without it in those circumstances.

On the other hand, people, who intend to obey the law will not have such weapon and will be at a disadvantage against someone with it.

Oh, and "particularly harmful" weapons with no use other than fighting can be created pretty easily.

Probably because I hadn’t bought the game the last I played it.

I got stupendously drunk on Sunday, and Monday I felt like I had been steamrolled. I was sore in places it didn’t really make sense for me to be sore, and I think I’m still a little hungover.

I also forgot what I drank on Sunday, except some type of beer that tasted like Five Alive.

Your analogy that god’s law was same as physical law is what he was disagreeing with. Physics isn’t portrayed as aware and able to choose to act (or not) in any given situation, whereas god is portrayed that way.

One of the big things about god, for me, is this thing about giving people free will, but he’ll only like you if you do shit the way he said you should do them, else you’ll burn forever... which rather defeats the point of free will.
