They aren’t obliged to give you their entire levy when you need it :p

You can increase the size of their levy through some obligation laws in the laws tab, but you’ll receive less money from whichever group you decide you want more from.

You can also keep their opinion high, else they’re disinclined to provide all that many troops.

The annoying thing about it was that it seemed quite specifically meant for me. It started in the. North East someplace, and then crashed South to where I was. Persia being the first major sort of pop-up thing, then India, Asia Minor, North Africa, Western Europe and finally Eastern Europe, despite Eastern Europe being right next to it at the start.

Most upsetting.

Probably missed a few pop-ups, but I was a bit distracted trying to figure out what to do with all the nonsense.

Also, you will want as many of your line of succession/commanders to get the Crusader trait too, since it gives a +2 martial bonus and an opinion bonus with other Crusaders.

Just have them lead the army for a few days in the targeted kingdom while sieging.

Fighting is better than sieging for contributions.

Alternatively, break up that massive doom stack you have and siege as much as you can.

Basically sieges are slow and steady, while battles are quick but fruitful.

I am also best friends with the Kaiser's wife, and with the Kaiser's spymaster.

Sounds like a time for murder.

From what I remember Alpha Protocol didn't bother me too much in that regard. The game didn't seem to care an aweful lot wither a takedown was lethal or nonlethal, so I did the melee takedowns where I could and it made sense and went shotgun when it didn't.

(And fisticuffs. The martial arts skilltree in that tons of fun for me, and punching people may or may not be nonlethal? Eh.)

‘cept for bosses. Can’t fisticuffs bosses, so I never saw the point in the martial arts ability, especially with the “invisible for a while” move you get via stealth (unbelievably early on too, if you start off as a veteran) which allows you to essentially cheat through encounters. It also breaks the bosses, which is kinda sad. OP ability is OP.

How does this game work out in the end?
