I have had few dinners without chips. It is a staple of Scottish dinners.

Also mince n tatties, but I don’t like boiled or mashed, so I give that a miss. Stick with my chips.

Saying hello to people in passing is a good start. Makes it a bit easier to get over the anxiety of having to interact with folk. Takes some time to get used to, though.

Haggis is definately Scottish.
It is now, but apparently the term itself originated in england :P
It's interesting, since it feels to me sometimes like half of the Scottish Romanticism that turned the Highlanders from Jacobin yokels into true Scots was as much a creation of London as it was Edinburgh: to wit, the obsession with all sorts of kitschy tartanry as fed by royal courts of the UK and beyond.  I look at it the same way as Irish potatoes, Italian tomatoes, or Swiss chocolate. ^_^

T’be fair, had the English not tried to stamp out rebellious sentiment by crushing the clan system and banning “highland wear” outside of the army, it probably wouldn’t have turned out that way.

Now, B12, I expect four pages of taking the piss out of Ireland.

Also, Glasgow Celtic probably have a lot to do with the mispronunciation of the word “celts”.

I’m fairly surprised you didn’t mention Scotland stealing whiskey from Ireland, though...

Also also, a lot of Scottish folks have Irish heritage, what with a great deal of historic immigration from t’Emerald Isle.

Also also also, American’s are weird with their patriotism  while simultaneously having the  ability to claim being from someplace else. What’s up with that.

I can assume; then, you’ve never had the tastefulness that is haggis, chum? Just ‘cause it’s offal, doesn’t mean it’s awful.

Unfortunately he’s a moron in charge. It doesn’t matter how much of a clown he is, his decisions matter.

Presumably it would be more hassle than it’s worth to sack her. If she is assistant-GM, that’s a challenging position to refill.

Ninja’d

Ah well. In my place of work it seems to go stocker>sales>assistant department manager>department manager>assistant GM>GM, all slots requiring additional training. If she’s replaced by a department person, that spot needs refilled by their assistant, which needs filled by someone else and so on down the line.

About to get in a fight for the life of my game really, outnumbered by over 1k, but my guy has a martial stat of 29, so I was hoping that I'd do well out of it.

The game chooses 11 days prior to the arrival of the enemy army to conclude that immortality quest, which kills my character.

Thanks game!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Decided not to let that setback get me down, surrendered the war 'cause no chance I was bringing it back.

Went on for a bit, expanded in a different direction just to get some troops to take back my ancestral homeland, declared war. Close run battle, but I won the first big one. Besieged a castle, and a city for good measure.

Decided then to take out the army of my enemy once and for all, and attacked them.

My martial 13 general got utterly caned by a level 0 faceless man on the left flank, and the centre and right followed soon after. Happy fucking days.

Not particularly fair that the enemy gets reinforcements in my territory but I don't in their territory, either.

Well Spaniards (yes I’ll condense the various cultures on the Iberian peninsula into one word) sleep in the middle of the day and go back to work after. Weirdos.

Probably be worse that I’m condensing it all into one thing then saying it’s weird ‘cause it’s not what the people I grew around did. Weird being synonymous with bad in this instance, apparently.

Oh well. Sorry.
???...I think I'm just going to assume Poe's law (?).
The first paragraph was facetious. The rest was fatigue and drug-induced anxiety.
