Figured out the name of a game I played a long while ago, which I will also likely never play again.

Well, the Dunblane massacre in Scotland fucked up gun rights in the UK (fcking lol) in the mid-90s, so at least in the UK it’s a colonies-wide thing.

Hoooooly shit guys I’m so drunk right now.

Hours of sampling beers (well, 4 hours) and some pizza, which wasn’t that great but the company was excellent.

I will be so brown I don’t even know what word that was s’posed to be! Done in or something, tomorrow, so I guess I can put that off by staying up all night yeah that makes sense.

My drinking partner got called into work for tomorrow morning though. Much sadness for that loss :'( I’m going to vomit at some point during proceedings, hopefully I can avoid that though.

Had some interesting beers, some interesting beers and some shit beers too. Haven’t been this drunk since election night lols.

Autocorrect fails me, best idea to sign off. Much love fellow drunks.

Isn’t almost all alcohol recreational? I would expect most people to use the word alcohol in reference to that which you can imbibe, certainly... /pedant

Fear of death did rather encourage things to happen, ranging from simple things like common sense (don’t jump off that mountain) to incredibly complex things like modern medicine.

You also have the opportunity to decide when death comes for you. You could decide to jump off that mountain, for example.

He does like to visit his own hotel, swelling it’s coffers by having his bodyguards staying there, which also has the secondary effect of cutting security costs for the place too.

Even better when he holds meetings there, ‘cause then it’s all the people attending the meeting, and all the people attending to them, too.

Or just respect people's wishes, when doing so only involves some petty minor personal inconvenience vs invalidation of another's experiences and making a dramatic scene.
Oh god, are you people still going on about this? I didn't make any dramatic scene.

T’be fair, san, this wouldn’t be a thing had you not quoted what you were politely requested not to quote.

You didn’t kill the happy thread, make sure you don’t kill you!

Attempting to build up some amount of tolerance to alcohol for Saturday, when I will be spending 4 hours at a beer festival with a hardened drinker. I don’t think i’m succeedng in that regard, two beers this evening over the course of an hour, and I’m sufficiently tipsy to have lost some inhibitions regarding actually posting things on the forum and a little bit wobbly on my feet.

I don’t think I’ll be doing anything productive on Sunday, that’s for damn sure!

After the war, the liberated countries and their allies realized all too well that making Germany pay war reparations would leave Germany a third world country,

And in typical German fashion they are now returning the favour by turning Greece into a third world country over debts. Go Germany!

Why do you say this when it was the EU that bailed out Greece with hundreds of billions of euros?

With caveats that they basically have to stop helping their people out with the shock of an exploded economy by implementing ridiculous austerity measures. People won elections there on campaign promises of telling the EU to fuck off.

Edit: in other news, 3 months back, the some UK politicians creamed their pants when the UK announced that blue passports would be returning. This was big news, despite the fact the EU had no great influence on the decision to make the change to the current burgundy one.

Today, the company that makes the burgundy ones is going to appeal the decision to award the manufacturing contract for the blue passports to a French-Dutch company.

Let’s make a show of taking back our independence and sovereignty by giving money to the foreigners we’re in the process of taking back that independence and sovereignty from. You know, the ones that forced us to throw open the contract to EU companies in the first place.

Mafia III's combat is god-awful though. Interesting enough story I guess...
