Fackin’ Europeans behind the times so far their words have pronouns.

An accidental post, but bugger it, I don’t mind looking casually racist on the internet.

I should probably stop doing sarcasm. Evidently I worry about people in 10 years time judging me on my internet posting history.

I think that's all that's needed for Russia's response, really.

Ken Dodd died. :(

He was once investigated by the Inland Revenue for tax fraud.

He said they should stop bothering him ‘cause he lived by the seaside.

Nah, while DF keeps going there'll still be people coming and going.

I started out on the upper boards and eventually ventured down here, into the darkness, then went deeper and deeper, coyly playing with FG&RP before ending up in the mafia boards. Mafia around here is pretty much done, which is sad, but we've still got good ol' GD and the pol threads.

I very rarely go up top anymore. I think that's what cave adaptation feels like...

On a wall next to a pool table are the rules for snooker. Several rooms away on another wall next to a snooker table are the rules for pool.
What's the difference between the tables? I thought they looked the same.
The balls. You can't play pool with snooker balls, and vice versa.
Pool tables are also smaller, assuming you have a full size snooker table.

So... bought this the on Saturday, already dropped 15 or so hours into it. The game has rather surprised me with the stuff I’ve uncovered, the most mind-blowing thing so far being able to contract out my teams for other companies’ work.

Anyhow, not done anything mind-blowing myself, made a couple of mil on audio tools and 2/3D editors, but how do you guys manage your teams?

I like the idea of having the various jobs (programming, design, marketing, artists, and a separate team dedicated for support) as separate teams, but my designers and artists usually end up with nothing to do while the programmers plug away developing and bug-fixing. It seems inefficient having designers and artists who are less skilled at programming to do these parts too, but it’s also a bit of a pain making sure they’re actually doing things once their part is over.

Wow I just... I decided, for a change of pace, to start a game as a count in Noob Island. Immediately I corner and kill the White Stag. What is this madness?

I hate to tell you this, but you’re a dick.

He also said he’d allow Puigdemont to run if he wasn’t in jail at the time of the election, so I’m disinclined to say he was interested in a fair and free election :P at least for independence supporters.

Well kinda carrying that a little further on - though upon consideration, I’m not conflating mental illness with any political position - surely folk with actual anxiety (and perhaps other mental illnesses which increase anxiety or fearfulness) would thus be more likely to be conservative?

[anecdotalevidencdisbestevidence]In my experience that isn’t the case.[/anecdotalevidencdisbestevidence]

A discussion on this topic I participated in elsewhere yielded the conclusion that it would come to nothing because "Catalans are a bunch of pussies".

Please discuss.

40% participation rate, with 90% of that being pro-independence, in the illegal referendum despite knowledge you’d likely get the shit kicked out of you by the stormtroopers Spanish police is pretty good evidence to the contrary I’d say.

Also the returning of a majority of pro-independence politicians to heir parliament after that and then trying to re-install the guy who was kicked out to trigger that election is a massive double-bird to Madrid.

Where is this elsewhere what said that?

I don’t think I’ve ever played a non-Ironman game. There are times when I’ve stopped playing any particular save due to it (my most recent game as India ‘cause I have a massive revolt to deal with, for example) but I usually intend to go back to them at some point.

I also have difficulty with the outside bet thing. Not really sure how to approach it heh. Won it as the other two though.

He says he’s a busnessman, surely he realizes reducing the supply of something by murdering (or threatening to murder) suppliers will only make it more appealing to use violence in order to secure their market, and thus larger revenues due to the reduced competition?

Nah, is great fun.

Also seeing how long you can keep everything owned by de jure leaders before everybody gets greedy. I like seeing the troop numbers go up.

Beat Akinator a few more times, going for former Hearts goalies.

He got Craig Gordon, presently of Celtic and Scotland, after a few failures. Failed to get Gilles Rousset and - somewhat surprisingly - Antti Niemi, who played for Finland 67 times, as well as several English Premiership teams.

Beat him twice, once with John Robertson (famous soccer player from Scotland, top scorer for Heart of Midlothian) and Craig Levein (famous soccer player from Scotland, current manager for Heart of Midlothian)

He did get someone associated with the Hearts job though.
