‘tis, but when anyone thinks of spam messages these days, it is more often than not email. I get (more specifically my wife gets) spam letters for stuff, usually immediately ending in a paper shredder upon discovery.

That’s a bit bizarre, at least from my perspective. I don’t particularly like physical clutter, but I certainly don’t mind collecting games on Steam. I have games I’ve ever installed despite being there for years, and I’ve added a game I installed years ago I’ve never actually played (small game though, else it’d get uninstalled) I my Steam library.

I thought it was clever.

Did not expect people on ‘tinternet to think of fake ham before unsolicited email messages.

Ah well, I learned a bit about fake ham, and it was moderately amusing too.

Well, in some of those countries America has co-opted the “democratic process” for their own ends...

What was wrong about what SalmonGod said though?

Sweary child wins gold medal in Slopestyle snowboarding. Mike Tirico apologizes for the potty-mouthed brat.

Bloody good run though.

I want to see Lindsey Jacobellis do something stupid again. I’m still annoyed with her showboating 12 years later heh.

I ate roadkill rabbit once when I was little.  My dad just clipped the top of its head.  The rest of its body was totally undamaged.  Not everything that gets killed by a vehicle is splattered.

I said “chances are” not “absolutely guaranteed smoosh every time” :P

You don’t want to hit a deer in your car. A friend of mine totaled two cars in as many weeks after hitting deer.

Because tires are covered in internal parasites, duh.

If you kill something with your tyres, chances are there won’t be much left to actually eat.

As General Ouromov says: use the bumper, that’s what it’s for.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/05/us/politics/trump-accuses-democrats-treason-market-rout.html

Quote
President Trump on Monday accused Democrats who did not clap during his State of the Union address of being un-American and even treasonous. ... “Can we call that treason?” Mr. Trump said of the stone-faced reaction of Democrats to his speech. “Why not? I mean, they certainly didn’t seem to love our country very much.”

He's getting more "Glorious Leader" by the day.

I will point out that from what I heard of the clip - and what the video shows, bloody automatic playing nonsense - he wasn't seriously suggesting they were being treasonous.

He is a bell-end for saying it's un-American though.

I'm also reminded of the billboard in my small town which is rented (perhaps owned) by a Trump supporter. It initially had a message saying all the people who voted for him in the state "totally support him" - amusing because the totally made it seem ironic - and now it's something along the lines of Trump is and was never racist 'cause he loves all Americans, to which I thought it's not really his opinion of Americans that is the problem. The business that seems to be funding this also has an Info Wars poster on their wall among all the pro-Trump tat. I am genuinely unsettled knowing that there are people like that nearby.

I am!

Of course, that may stem from an innate stubbornness provoked by repeated attempts by Scots nats to tell me I'm not British. Mais c'est la vie.

Why do they say you’re not British? Just ‘cause your off on your own in a wee corner of a different island?

Presumably there’s more context to this, if you’re willing to share?
