He suggested that modern audience's tastes have chanced and that people are more ensemble oriented instead of wanting a singular hero.
Or rather that people prefer that every character in a cast shine, rather than for them to be set pieces for one person to be the big dang hero.
I wonder how true that is.

Except you're not really right. I read the entire topic and he is not just trolling and writing the same thing all over again. Baffler shows you an example of a post that proves you wrong.
Johnny is a bit misguided, but he raises some good points, like in the post quoted by Baffler.
Well none of the things he says actually has any proof in them, to be fair. He's not trolling, just being very opinionated. Not something I personally like because there's no point in having a discussion with someone like that, so I see where Descan's coming from, though I wouldn't go so far as to block 'im for it.
