I am so confused by this.

Can someone just plot out the ways the votes moved yesterday eve?

I think I can agree with Lenglon that Hapah is scummy, though I'm not sure what exactly makes me think so besides the continual failure to deliver on promised posts.

Are you ever going to do anything yourself? It's not difficult. Go to Tiruin's post, quote it, and change the votes in that as you go through the end of D1. There were like 4 votes or so. You have a penchant for complaining that editing posts on a mobile device is a hassle. If you are disinclined to do it that way, a pen and paper may be useful.

Are you going to answer the questions I asked? You vote me, and FoS Lenglon, suggesting you think they're not town but then vote with them anyway. Just because you stopped voting me doesn't mean I stopped giving a shit about what you said, you know.

I'll get to Lenglon's stuff tomorrow, hopefully, depends on personal entanglements. It may take until Tuesday, at the latest. In the mean time, I think Lenglon's task is to find some corroborating evidence for this tidbit:

You are... mis-stating the positions people have taken...

Else I might feel a bit cross. I look forward to your tunnel, regardless.

On both counts.

hector13: You're oscillating too much.

What do you mean?

Setup a sister publication of the Godsea Gazzette, named the Godsea Gossiper. The standards for published articles will be lower than those in the Gazzette, but will still have minimum standards of being mostly factual, impartial reporting, and avoiding creative editing.

Encourage the Kharis to find some guest columnists from the various races in the land to write about their experiences for the Gossiper.

((should probably avoid the alliteration for these things, just so y'all don't get confused heh))

Somehow I've become addicted to "Star wars: Rebels"

Also: Travel abroad, meet people, learn the different ways your name and surname can get misspelled (today, I saw someone miswrite the latter as ending in "ghoul")

Pfft, you foreigners with your silly spelling. Why not just abandon your cultural upbringing and anglicise your name, making it easier on everyone that isn't you? :P

Kinda have to question the cheekiness of the US investigating a foreign nation interfering with their politics while they interfere with Brexit.
When they interfered with Brexit, they were supporting Remain. Now this isn't interference, this is just diplomacy, laffin if you think multilateral relations will never have the USA present somewhere, this has been the state of things since WWII
A bit pedantic there eh :P that was the Brexit referendum, this is Brexit negotiations.

They're trying to influence things they're not directly involved in to get an outcome they desire. I think that's a fairly common definition of interference.

Hah, that's like saying that a Korean election and the Korean war are the same because they both begin with the word Korean.

The referendum was an internal matter - the people of a country deciding its future path. The negotiations are basically just more moves in the Great Game (particularly given today's Schrodinger's Putin, who is simultaneously the puppet-master behind every side in every conflict), so it's natural the USA, being our closest ally, would show their hand.

Well... the negotiations are the conclusion to the referendum, so I totes reject the analogy. A fair point otherwise, though.

Even so, I don't think the US are trying to intimidate for altruistic reasons. If the EU succeeds in making clearings for Euro transactions go through the EU rather than London, it'll cost murrican companies a pretty penny in altering their business to be able to conform to those regulations.

Well if not being a bastard is political then it stands to reason that being a  Asgard bastard is also political, and people of your in-group are (probably) not bastards.

I'm not being entirely serious, just to be clear. I'm very tired, which is apparently supposed to explain the whole thing.

Is it just me or are people starting to become... Excessively politically sensitive?

Like... people are starting to either like or dislike a show because it has some political bias... when it is often a very non-political show.

Since apparently not being a bastard, is political.

Well yeah, obviously. Everyone that has an opposing political viewpoint is automatically a bastard.

Trump also hasn't divested himself of his commercial interests, and his regular jaunts to Mar-a-Lago has lined his own pockets at the cost of the taxpayer. I would not find it surprising he's using his position for his own personal gain in other ways, either.

It's only a little bit disgusting.

So, someone deserving to be fired means they shouldn't be fired as long as they are possibly a threat to their boss?

It's like mafia... it's all well and good someone helped to lynch scum, but they're not much help to the town of they're the serial killer.

It's telling that Trump fired someone who deserved to be fired six months ago and didn't cite what they should've been fired for as a reason for firing them. Especially when he's being investigated by said person's agency, and said person allegedly asked for more resources for the investigation shortly before getting the boot.
