Oscar watches Sharkmeal, shaking his head sadly. A vague curse isn't much of a distraction... the crowd want something more visceral than that!(6)
"Only a mother's boy would know to look for a mark like that on the floor.
What, did you cling to her skirts when you were a lad as she scrubbed the floors for your table scraps?"
At this, the merchants cease arguing, and look toward you. In addition, the bartender's face grows red, and walks out of his serving area, marches toward you, and shouts, "I will not have you starting a fight in MY tavern!". Hmm, seems you hit a sore point.
Got £500 working four nights over two weekends.
Holy sugar.
(The total was £611, but that's including pay for the 15 hour induction period.)
Well, profit. Which is the difference between your income and expenses, and it's a lot easier to control your expenses than your income...Maybe it's the cynical in me, but everytime i see those claims i automaticaly transates that as "We need more lower paid proffesionals to cut our expenses so i could grant myself a bigger paycheck."Well, that IS capitalism. Always good to remember a company's primary objective is to generate money.
Hey, that's not funny. I bet that when you drink your white-supremacy filth it leaves a toothbrush milk mustache.
But yeah, pot calling the kettle black there.
QuotePerhaps cynical hector should put some effort into explaining why he feels that way instead of making blanket statements and leaving it at that.hector: I didn't say that I think TBF is more likely to be a third party than scum. I still think scum is the most likely option, but if I'm wrong about that he's almost certainly third party.
If he happens to flip town, the town won't be better off, clearly.
Anyway, cynical!hector would think that you're twisting an argument to suit your read, in both cases.
QuoteThat's an interesting way to put things, seeing as you were the one to bring up the issue of TPs on D1 in regards to your vote. You said if TBF wasn't scum, he was a TP, which - as implied by my questions - struck me as an odd thing to be worrying about for town on D1. It doesn't even look like you considered the possibility of him being incompetent town. Why would I consider that as a possibility? TBF has played the game before, he knows how it works. And again, I didn't bring up third parties as a worry at all during day 1. I said that TBF was clearly not playing from a town orientated mindset and if not scum he was most likely a third party. You seem determined to project the impression that I'm hunting for third parties over scum, and I'd like to know why.
QuoteCertainly, there were a number of players on D1 who could fit the bill of not having the town's best interests at heart. TDS posted a handful of times, Tiruin promised a reads list before day end that never came, I tunneled on TBF for ~30 hours, IronyOwl was voting for themselves at the end of the day; the list goes on.Tiruin and TDS were had low activity. I don't know what similarity you think IronyOwl has with the others you mentioned. TBF had a reasonable number of posts, but had made it clear that he had no interest in contributing any information to the town that he could avoid doing. Active players that are part taking in scummy behaviour are a higher priority for lynching as far as I'm concerned over inactive players or whatever you're accusing IronyOwl of.
Why did TBF deserve to be voted over these other players on the terms you settled on?
Oh-
@Tiruin: I'm certain he didn't visit me because <insert multiple contradictory, but valid, explanations here>. Yeah, I really don't want to claim why.
An Oklahoma Republican rep. says that pregnant women are 'hosts'. Wat.....
If an alien were looking at how placental mammal reproduction works, I suppose they'd call it the 'host', but that's only when looking at it in a 100% scientifically logical way that is free of emotion and it certainly describes the function. But still, I really don't agree with that label.
I know it's a feminist article on The Guardian, but the links to the original articles are in there.
At first, Humphrey said that the original intention of the bill was to ensure that fathers are involved in supporting a child from conception. “I was wanting fathers to have to pay child support at the beginning,” he said, but that specific language was excised from the bill.
Ultimately, he said, his intent was to let men have a say. “I believe one of the breakdowns in our society is that we have excluded the man out of all of these types of decisions,” he said. “I understand that they feel like that is their body,” he said of women. “I feel like it is a separate — what I call them is, is you’re a ‘host.’ And you know when you enter into a relationship you’re going to be that host and so, you know, if you pre-know that then take all precautions and don’t get pregnant,” he explained. “So that’s where I’m at. I’m like, hey, your body is your body and be responsible with it. But after you’re irresponsible then don’t claim, well, I can just go and do this with another body, when you’re the host and you invited that in.”
