Can anyone link me to the CNN article that Trump is all "fake news" about? I know it's old, but there are multiple things about it on the website and I don't want to read the wrong one (such as one written post-"fake news" and them either walking back or supporting it) and then comment.

Having not read it, I was under the impression that they basically said it was all unsubstantiated at that point, but that Obama and Trumo had been briefed on it, that they at least took the time to check out sources and say it wasn't necessarily factual stuff they were talking about (or something like that) but Trump/Obama had been shown it, whereas Buzzfeed did the publishing of the stuff in full without saying anything about sources or stuff like that.

This is an issue I have with things like this; it all seems interesting and stuff at the time but I forget about it and don't read it. Silly me.

I'd be into a paranormal game, haven't played one before and there's no other mafia other than reverse right now so...

I'd be in on that one.

Got the job! It's a night shift, so yikes, but between 12 and 6 am I get around a tenner per hour. Not bad.

...what the heck are you doing? You're being paid comparably to a skilled professional here. :P

Tesco Customer Assistant. But it's night shift, so probably stacking shelves :)

Criiikey. Like, that's ~R166 hourly. Working a well-paying job with high entry qualifications (B.Sc. Honours kind of thing) nets around R250 hourly, here. Just goes to show, cost of living is a hell of a drug, I guess.

Night-shift premiums. Something I didn't get despite working nights for 2+ years as the part of the company I was in didn't get them for reasons.

Political polling has a lot of soul searching to do. They can't seem to predict anything these days.

Alright, controls are sorted out. I don't get caught up fucking around with Wolf 'mechs or chasing down the tertiary objectives. I head straight for the convoy and blow it up.

Alright, convoy destroyed. I guess I can breathe easy and search for the munitioDROPSHIP LAUNCH DETECTED. WOLF COMMANDERS HAVE ESCAPED. MISSION FAILED.

There's two convoys of Wolf commanders. Note to self, an objective isn't complete until the computer lady says so.

MechWarrior 2.

I think this was the mission that made me stop playing when I was a kid.

Playing a ring game, basically a casual game in which players buy in for a minimum amount of chips (1k in this instance) and can play for as long as they want, leaving the table with however many chips they won or buying in again, if they have the chips to do so. Anyone looking for a game can join at any point if there's a spot open at the table.

I bust out pretty quickly, after about 10 hands or so, and buy back in.

Over the course of the next 30 hands I had a winning streak so good that I was the only player left at the table, and had to leave as a result, with a total of just under 9k in winnings.

@Caroline: while I appreciate the difficulty of the situation you find yourself in, you did nothing wrong, and it is not weak to express emotions. It's quite frankly necessary, 'cause bottling it up will fuck you up after a time. I know you don't feel that way, but fuck it you're wrong :P

Anyhow, as paying for college: you are an adult, you can get student loans. You may even get a job should you so desire, presuming eligibility. Once you leave home, you are no longer beholden to your parents.

As a precaution, you may want to tell your sisters you love them no matter what, privately but often, just in case.

What, you mean I'm the only one who obsessively reloads the page every two minutes in the hopes of an update?
That's an overstatement. Only TBF is capable of that.
Nah, it's easy enough to follow things, it's posting in every single thread you have updates for is the challenge.

I update new replies all the time.

Let the Portuguese make your wine and the Spanish make your sausage and you will have no desires in life for finer things

Nae haggis pal.

Let Italians make yer chips and Turks make yer kebabs, and yer made.

And there you have it, a solid writeup on why communism does not work in the real world.

Because people are people. Sad, but true.

This is the reason everything gets fucked up in the real world.

You are not liberal.  Turn in your "green card" :P
To immigrate to America, one need only a Trump card
If only. Pissing expensive endeavour.

Where does this "$15/hr means people need $30/hr of value" come from?

To be honest regular media often twist news so much that is it downright fake news as well.

And it is a way more dangerous form of fake news because there are hints of truth to it.

That's not "downright fake" news, it's biased. If it presents facts, it's not fake, regardless how it's spun.

Fake news is entirely fabricated, and has no truth to it.
