Oh right you thought I mean they were the only ones. Nah, I get you now.

I didn’t forget CNN, the three outlets I mentioned are right-leaning mainstream outlets, of which I imagine EJ would be aghast if I suggested they were among that grouping.

They did hire a former campaign manager for Trump as a political commentator though.

So yeah, EJ is referring to outlets that don’t explicitly agree with him or his world view, using the word mainstream in the manner I might use as a four-letter word. Well maybe not that manner I swear like a sailor, but you get the gist.

When people like EJ say mainstream media, they don’t mean mainstream media.

Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Post are mainstream media. He’s not referring to them.
It sure is weird that you specifically pulled out only the fifth through seventh most mainstream, and didn't mention Disney News, CNN, the New York Times, or MSNBC.

EJ covered them in his Mainstream AKA Leftist rant. I corrected that assertion by pointing out right-leaning mainstream media outlets.

What's if it's coarse, rough, and gets everywhere?
Then we must retreat to the water. I like the water

Yea let's go!

You have died of kelpie, game over.

I am the mountainblood spirit, I am not gonna die from such a trivial reason.

Given enough time, even mountains bow down to water.

I watched The Thing, prequel to the movie, The Thing.

So the 1982 version is one of my favourite films so it was unlikely to ever live up to that standard, but it felt like it and added its own little bits to it that were sufficiently entertaining that it was enjoyable.

I did find myself for some reason really getting into the “test” scene, and it remained consistent to that throughout, and there was a very subtle scene toward the end related to it that I really liked too, just to remain spoiler-free and super vague.

CGI was generally awful, but it got a little better as the movie went on, plus they remembered to lead it into the 1982 version, and there were a handful of hints as to that opening scene made throughout too, which I appreciated.

All in all, not a hearty recommendation, but if you liked the 1982 version, or horror in general, you should give it a watch.

Stealing $3 million still probably gets you less time in jail than shoplifting goods at a fraction of that amount.

I know ‘flu prefers lower humidity (<40%) which tends to happen more in the colder months.

I personally usually get sick around the changing of Summer to Fall and Winter to Spring,

Except sometimes it’s illegal and you can get fined, and that’ll only happen with a shopping cart if you whack someone with it.

Stubborn is probably a better descriptor. If you weighed four times as much as a two leg, you’d be able to ignore them too.

Nah don’t worry about it I just thought it was amusing. We tend to get a bit uppity about it sometimes.

Happy birthday though. Or… *checks thread* sad birthday? That’s not very nice…

I think it might be a bit more edgy to have kept a young girl alive to be present on an all-male prison planet, just to show how contemptible the inmates were :o but it was 1992, so maybe that would’ve been too edgy.

You say that, but Hicks disappeared at the end of Aliens for the climactic battle, which got on my nerves when I noticed it.

I think Newt was killed off camera because there were 6 years between Aliens and Alien3, so the actor playing her wouldn’t have been able to reprise her role too easily.
